What did BroadwayWorld's critic think of TICK, TICK…BOOM! at Comedy Theatre?

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and Broadway Across America have announced the 2023-2024 Broadway in Miami season in the Ziff Ballet Opera House with a five-show subscription package that includes two South Florida premieres, one Miami premiere and the highly anticipated return of two blockbuster musicals.

Directed by J. Paul Nicholas and starring Abdul Sesay and Angela Bey, The Light centers on the hot-and-cold engagement night of two youngish Chicagoans as they wind up reliving their romantic pinnacles alongside their separate, secreted traumas around sexual assault.

Audiences attending the national tour of ON YOUR FEET! at Artis–Naples in Naples, Florida were in for a surprise when the 26-time Grammy Award-winning husband and wife team, Gloria and Emilio Estefan took their seats to see the musical that they originally created and produced on Broadway. The Broadway stars of Hamilton and In the Heights will perform in Smothers Theatre at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present George Abud and Katrina Lenk – who starred together in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical The Band’s Visit – in “Abud & Lenk: Swung” on Monday, March 6 at 7:00 PM.

Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen announces the retirement of Principal Dancer Paulo Arrais from the Company and his appointment to Boston Ballet School's Professional Division at Walnut Hill as Full Time Faculty. Arrais joined Boston Ballet as an artist of the Company in 2010, was promoted to soloist in 2011, and to principal dancer in 2012.
