The Suzi Bass Awards revealed nominations for the 2017-2018 Atlanta professional theatre season on Monday evening, August 27, to patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party was generously hosted by Synchronicity Theatre, at 7:30pm, One Peachtree Pointe, 1545 Peachtree St. NE #102, Atlanta.

Critical Crop Top is starting off 2018 with a brand new sketch show written, directed, and performed by women! Their new show, 'Critical Crop Top Presents: Feminine AF', features a perfect blend of sketch comedy and music, and -in a break with tradition- stand up comedy from local comedian Blaire Erskine.
Playwright Neeley Gossett (Alliance/Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Competition finalist) and Actor/Playwright Steve Coulter (Edward Foote) have teamed up with Alliance Theatre Artistic Director of Theatre for Youth and Families Rosemary Newcott to develop this year's new play for middle school audiences Alice Between. Alice Between will tour to Atlanta area middle schools for several weeks and will have five public performances in the Rich Theatre at the Woodruff Arts Center, November 12 19, 2017. The opening performance is Saturday, November 12, at 5:00 p.m.
Synchronicity Theatre will open its 20th season with Kate Hamill's playful new adaptation of Jane Austen's beloved novel, Sense and Sensibility. The story follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, after their father's sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Pinch 'n' Ouch Theatre's latest production of 'Girls Life' is a raucous comedy by the company's critically acclaimed Artistic Director Grant McGowen, about finding love in today's big cities.
