The long-running revival of Kander and Ebb's Chicago returned to its home at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre tonight!

The circle of life continues on Broadway! Tonight, Tuesday, September 14, Broadway gets its razzle dazzle back when four beloved musicals return to the stage. Tune in to BroadwayWorld for this one short day of non-stop coverage!

The Broadway orchestra of Chicago is ready to razzle dazzle audiences at the Ambassador Theatre again! The show has shared a look into the first rehearsal back onstage for the musicians as they perform the overture for the show.

Casting for the Broadway company of CHICAGO was recently announced, featuring Ana Villafañe as Broadway's next Roxie Hart, Bianca Marroquín in her debut in the role of Velma Kelly, Tony Award-winner Lillias White as Matron 'Mama' Morton, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Ryan Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

Tony Award Winner Paulo Szot will return as “Billy Flynn” to Chicago when performances resume on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the Ambassador Theatre.

Producers Barry and Fran Weissler have just announced casting for the Broadway company of CHICAGO, which resumes performances at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W 49th St, NYC) on Tuesday, September 14th. Leading the company will be Bianca Marroquín making her debut in the role of Velma Kelly, Tony Award-winner Lillias White as Matron “Mama” Morton, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Ryan Lowe as Mary Sunshine. Casting for the roles of Roxie Hart and Billy Flynn will officially be announced soon, but according to an Instagram post from casting office Stewart/Whitley, Ana Villafañe will play Roxie.

With a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Chicago is now the #1 longest-running American musical in Broadway history.

This week's performers included: Chicago (Donna Marie Asbury, David Bushman, Jessica Ernest, Terra C. MacLeod, Barrett Martin, Katie Mitchell, Drew Nellessen, Beth Johnson Nicely, Brian O'Brien, Jermaine Rembert, and Michael Scirrotto), SpongeBob SquarePants (Danny Skinner, Jesse JP Johnson, Brian Ray Norris, and Jai'Len Christine Li Josey), Stomp (Alan Asuncion, Ivan Salazar, John Gavin, Josh Cruz, Kayla Cowart, Marivaldo Dos Santos, Simeon Weedall, and Taylor Lee), and Waitress (Katharine McPhee, Erich Bergen, Anastacia McCleskey, Brandon Kalm, Kayla Davion, Law Dunford, Molly Jobe, Tiffany Hobbs, and Tyrone Davis).

Broadway is back in the park! Broadway in Bryant Park has returned for the 2018 season, bringing the best of Broadway together for free performances for six consecutive weeks from through Thursday, August 16. The Bryant Park stage is located at 6th Avenue between 40th and 42nd Streets. Lawn seating is first-come, first-serve.

This week's event featured performances by the casts of Miss Saigon (Rachelle Ann Go, Eva Noblezada), Chicago (David Bushman, Gabrielle McClinton, Jessica Ernest, Michael Scirrotto, Robyn Hurder, Peter Nelson, Donna Marie Asbury, Denny Paschall, Jennifer Dunne), and Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (Lulu Fall, Shoba Narayan, Lauren Zakrin) with special guests from Broadway Dreams.

Earlier this week, the company of CHICAGO took their act uptown, to Central Park. To celebrate the musical's 20th Anniversary, fans got to experience the razzle dazzle with a free concert at SummerStage in Central Park.
