Following this weekend's scoop that Tony-nominee Peter Gallagher had fallen ill, causing a last-minute cancellation of Roundabout's ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY on Saturday night, BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the actor remains under the weather, and his understudy, James Moye, will take the stage this week for a short series of performances.

ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY's First Preview Pushed Back One Day

On the Twentieth Century will now begin previews on Friday, February, 13. The first performance was originally scheduled for Thursday, February 12. The new first preview date is the result of the blizzard in New York City on Tuesday, January 27, which resulted in lost tech rehearsal time at the American Airlines Theatre.

As “Cookie,” the charming, mischievous troublemaker-with-a-heart in the national tour of Broadway's Nice Work If You Can Get It, Reed Campbell has a sweet deal: he gets to do work he loves and travel the country at the same time. Touring, Reed admits, is physically demanding, and taking on the role for which original Broadway cast member, Michael McGrath won a 2012 Tony award, gave him pause, but he loves the Nice Work cast and creative team, that are “so cohesive, kind and energetic,” all important qualities for taking a production of this scale on the road.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced additional casting for the new Broadway production of the classic musical On the Twentieth Century starring Tony & Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, Golden Globe & SAG Award winner & Tony nominee Peter Gallagher, Tony nominee Andy Karl, Mark Linn-Baker, Tony winner Michael McGrath and Tony winner Mary Louise Wilson.
