Mark Cuddy, Producer of The Cape Playhouse, has announced the casting for his first slate of productions during the historic theater's 88th Season in Dennis, MA. Six shows - a mix of comedies, dramas & musicals - starring Broadway actors will be live on stage from June 9 - August 30, 2014.

Geva Theatre Center' 41st Mainstage Season concludes with Neil Simon's The Odd Couple. Directed by John Miller-Stephany, and with a cast led by Tony Award- winner Michael McGrath and Broadway veteran Noah Racey, this classic comedy begins performances tonight, April 22 and runs in the Elaine P. NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT closed up shop on Broadway on June 15, 2013. The show enjoyed 478 regular performances and 27 preview performances over the course of about 15 months. Its notices were mixed to positive, and there are plans to kick off a National Tour for the 2014-2015 season. For those of us who missed the show on Broadway, the lively and decadently glitzy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT (Original Broadway Cast Recording), which was released by Shout! Factory and distributed by Sony Records, perfectly allows us to acquaint ourselves with the production before it plays in our regional venues.

The Spiral Theatre Studio (TSTS) is pleased to announce its inaugural season, launching the Salt & Pepper series for "seasoned" citizens with three productions: STORIES MY GRANDMOTHER TOLD ME, WRINKLES, and CHRISTMAS GUEST. The unique aspect of The Spiral Theatre Studio is the stage-consisting of a Hexagon divided into twelve (12) fully carpeted modular pieces that move upon a fully carpeted floor. Additionally, TSTS will represent under-served markets such as Senior Citizens, African-American writers, Women writers, the LGBT and Environmental Movement communities, by working with them creatively or providing performances that interest their demographic. All performances will take place at The Spiral Theatre Studio (at Paul Michael's The Network) at 242 West 36th Street, NYC, in the heart of the new Theatre district.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff/Artistic Producer) will present two free staged readings of 'notes to MariAnne', a new musical by David Rossmer and Dan Lipton, directed by Leigh Silverman. The readings will take place on Thursday, September 12th at 1:00pm and 4:30pm, at The Steve and Marie Sgouros Theatre (formerly The Players Loft), 115 MacDougal Street. The producers of the Tony Award-winning musical comedy Nice Work If You Can Get It have announced that the Broadway production will play its final performance today, June 15, 2013 after 27 previews and 478 regular performances at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). The production began performances on March 29, 2012 and opened on Apr 24, 2012. A national tour will be launched in the 2014-2015 season.

On Thursday, June 13, Inside Broadway partnered with Nice Work if You Can Get It at Broadway's Imperial Theatre, where thousands of NYC public school students visited for two exclusive 'Creating the Magic' events. The program provided students with a behind the scenes look at the magical world of Broadway and learn about all the career opportunities in the theater. Check out a look at the event below!
