California Musical Theatre Announces Music Circus Lineup - HELLO, DOLLY!, NICE WORK, CABARET and More!

California Musical Theatre and BroadwayWorld bring you the 2016 lineup for Sacramento Music Circus at the Wells Fargo Pavilion, the 66th season for the venerable institution. The season includes four shows that have never been produced at Music Circus: The smash hit musical comedy Legally Blonde, based on the hilarious film starring Reese Witherspoon; the family favorite Seussical, a journey through the witty and whimsical world of Dr. Seuss; Nice Work If You Can Get It, the song-and-dance spectacular filled with the music of George and Ira Gershwin; and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a brand new musical exploring the dark themes of the epic novel while featuring the beautiful music of the animated Disney film. The 2016 Music Circus season will also feature two shows that are all-time patron favorites, the irresistible musical theatre gem Hello, Dolly! and the Tony-winning Kander and Ebb classic Cabaret.

Byron Jennings Replaces Rene Auberjonois in Roundabout's Starry SHE LOVES ME

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Byron Jennings (Maraczek) will star alongside Laura Benanti (Amalia), Zachary Levi (Georg), Gavin Creel (Kodaly), Michael McGrath (Sipos) and Jane Krakowski (Ilona) in Roundabout's new Broadway production of She Loves Me, directed by Scott Ellis, choreographed by Warren Carlyle with musical direction by Paul Gemignani. This classic musical comedy features a book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock. Jennings replaces the previously announced Rene Auberjonois in the role.

Roundabout's Starry SHE LOVES ME Sets New Opening, Closing Dates on Broadway

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Roundabout Theatre Company has set new dates for the upcoming starry musical She Loves Me. Preview performances will begin on February 19, 2016 and with the official opening on March 17, 2016. This is a limited engagement through June 5, 2016 at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street).
Roundabout Partners with TodayTix for 50th Anniversary Season

Roundabout Theater Company announced today that they have partnered with TodayTix, the premiere mobile theater ticketing app, to offer Retro Roundabout. In honor of Roundabout's founding year $19.65 lottery orchestra tickets will be exclusively available via the TodayTix app to all shows during Roundabout's 2015-16 50th Anniversary Season.

Included are: Clive Owen, Eve Best and Kelly Reilly in Old Times by Harold Pinter, directed by Douglas Hodge; Andrea Martin, Campbell Scott, Tracee Chimo, Daniel Davis, David Furr, Kate Jennings Grant, Megan Hilty, Rob McClure and Jeremy Shamos in Noises Off by Michael Frayn, directed by Jeremy Herrin; The Humans by Stephen Karam, directed by Joe Mantello; Keira Knightley, Gabriel Ebert, Matt Ryan and Judith Light in a new adaptation of Therese Raquin by Helen Edmundson, based upon the novel by Emile Zola, directed by Evan Cabnet; Laura Benanti, Josh Radnor, Rene Auberjonois, Gavin Creel, Michael McGrath and Jane Krakowski in She Loves Me by Joe Masteroff, Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock, directed by Scott Ellis; Jessica Lange, Gabriel Byrne, Michael Shannon and John Gallagher, Jr. in Long Day's Journey Into Night by Eugene O'Neill, directed by Jonathan Kent. The 2015-2016 Roundabout Underground production is Ugly Lies the Bone, a new play by Lindsey Ferrentino, directed by Patricia McGregor.

?The Broadway musical Nice Work If You Can Get It, with book by Joe DiPietro, inspired by material by Guy Bolton and PG Wodehouse, debuts at Teatro CETIP, in Sao Paulo, with adaptation by Miguel Falabella, who also assumes the role of playboy Jimmy Winter. The show is set in New York in the 20s, when Jimmy's marriage does not come out as planned after he met a certain smuggler, played by Simone Gutierrez. The score is composed by George and Ira Gershwin the direction is by Jose Possi Neto.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts' 2015 - 2016 Spotlight Series opens with the sidesplitting savagery known as Forbidden Broadway October 1 - 4, 2015. There will be just four performances of a special adaptation of their recent hit edition, Forbidden Broadway Alive and Kicking! The cast includes members of the Tony Award®-winning New York company, including Forbidden Broadway stalwarts Gina Kreiezmar, Marcus Stevens, Kevin B. McGlynn and Trisha Rapier (who hails from Orange County!). This touring edition is presented by John Freedson and Harriet Yellin.
