Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant newest production, A.R. Gurney's comedic 'man-meets-dog' Sylvia opens tonight, Friday, October 12, 2018. The smart, silly and sometimes salty Off-Broadway hit play is about the chaos that ensues when a dog named Sylvia is adopted into the home of married urbanites Greg and Kate. Directed by Michael Johnson, Sylvia runs through Sunday, November 18 at Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant, 102 Connell Highway, Newport, RI, with performances Friday and Saturday evenings, plus the very popular weekday and Sunday matinees.
