Three Rivers Music Theatre is thrilled to announce the cast of their upcoming Fort Wayne Premiere production of CARRIE: THE MUSICAL.

Three Rivers Music Theatre shares that Fort Wayne Professional Artist and Dance Educator, Capri Parrish Williams, will be choreographing their upcoming production of CARRIE: THE MUSICAL.

Quando si pensa alle arti performative degli anni '80 e impossibile non citare il film Saranno Famosi (FAME). Fu talmente un successo che a pochi anni dall'uscita crearono una serie tv di sei stagioni dedicata e nel 1988 uno spettacolo teatrale. Spesso pero la trasposizione da un prodotto cinematografico ad uno teatrale o viceversa non e detto riesca a dare giustizia all'opera originale, vivendone di fama riflessa ma senza apportarne ulteriore gloria. Abbiamo visto la versione italiana della Wizard Production al Teatro San Babila di Milano con la regia di Federico Bellone (riprodotta da Giuseppe Musmarra) che conferma questa tendenza.

With Halloween just around the corner, Theatre 29's presents the camp, cult classic musical Carrie. based on the Stephen King novel and the 1976 Brian DePalma film as well as various theatrical incarnations. Production Notes State: 'Director Charles Harvey revels in the almost surrealistic edge and humor of this piece which enthrallingly envelops this unique theatrical experience. This is a "Carrie" with an emphasis is on very real human interaction and emotions -especially as reflected in the themes of peer pressure, isolation, conformity, and the anguish of being an outsider.'

Based on Stephen King's chilling tale, Carrie the Musical brings the cult-classic to the stage. Carrie White, a misfit in high school, is relentlessly hounded and bullied by the popular crowd. At home, she's at the mercy of her cruel, zealot mother. After a traumatic encounter at school, Carrie discovers a shocking and eerie new power.  And if pushed too far, she's not afraid to use it.
