Nexas Quartet Comes to The Independent North Sydney

The internationally renowned saxophone quartet presents an exciting, spicy taste of the world of Argentinean Tango in a unique and inspiring performance of classic and new works. The much-awaited return concert from the colourful and hugely popular all-saxophone foursome will feature pieces by composers such as Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel, Gerardo Rodriguez and Fernando Lerman.

Stellar Cast Announced for INTO THE WOODS at The Cockpit

This May, All Star Productions - Winner of the Best Producer in the Off-West End Awards 2018 - join forces with Trilby Productions to bring their fresh new adaptation of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods to The Cockpit. Performed in the round, this darkly comic production has been given a 21st century twist with an ensemble of seventeen larger-than-life characters drawn from modern day Britain.

This unique collaboration will provide fascinating new renditions of works by Gershwin, Brubeck, Ravel and Franck.

Matthew Seadon-Young, Barbara Drennan and Joseph Prouse, recently joined the West End cast of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical to play Gerry Goffin (Carole King's husband and song-writing partner), Genie Klein (King's mother) and Donnie Kirshner (music publisher and producer). Cassidy Janson continues in the title role as well as Lorna Want as song-writer Cynthia Weil, a role for which she won the 2015 Olivier for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical, and Ian McIntosh as song-writer Barry Mann.
