The York Theatre Company presents the Off-Broadway premiere of the new musical revue Anything Can Happen in the Theater: The Musical World of Maury Yeston with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston. Directed and conceived by Tony Award winner Gerard Alessandrini, the famed creator of Forbidden Broadway (the longest-running revue in Off-Broadway history) and the smash spoof Spamilton, the production has choreography by Gerry McIntyre (York's Hallelujah, Baby!) and music direction by Greg Jarrett (Pacific Overtures). The five-member cast features Benjamin Eakeley (She Loves Me), Jovan E'Sean (The Secret Life of Bees), Alex Getlin (Slay It With Music), Justin Keyes (How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), and Mamie Parris (School of Rock).

Long Island's newest year-round professional theatrical venue, The Argyle Theatre presents the hit Broadway musical The Full Monty with music and lyrics by David Yazbek and book by Terrence McNally, based on the 1997 film of the same name. Performances began September 12, 2019 for a limited engagement through Sunday afternoon, October 20, 2019 at The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island). Opening Night is Saturday evening, September 14, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. The Full Monty is sponsored by The Post Office Café (Babylon). Nathan Lee Graham Set for Reading of New BATTLES Musical This Month

The Battles Musical LLC will present a second developmental reading of the new musical, THE BATTLES, with music, book, and lyrics by Ned Massey, at the New 42nd Street Studios on Friday, October 23rd, at 3 pm. The reading will be directed by Tom Wojtunik with musical direction by Joshua Stephen Kartes, and casting by Michael Cassara, CSA. The musical received its first reading in June as part of the Emerging Artist Theatre's "New Works Series."

This California native turned New York composer will present songs from all over his catalog… some songs from here… some songs from there. The night will consist of new material from several of Drew's latest projects, fan favorites from his award-winning musicals Crazy, Just Like Me, Make Me Bad, and #UntitledPopMusical, as well as numbers from the TV show SMASH and Drew's recently released album, "I Could Use A Drink." Drew's music has been described as, "Remarkable, smart, and strongly tuneful," by The Huffington Post… "Invigorating and original," by the Houston Press… "Loud and approximate," by Michael Cassara, CSA… "The best thing to ever happen to the world," by Drew's mother… and, "That racket," by Drew's father.

Veteran humorist and playwright, Justin Moran, launched 'Spiderman Smackdown', a guerilla theatre project to write, rehearse, and perform a fully realized musical based on the character Spiderman in under 30 days with a budget of $0.
