He gives us bigger stars, better songs and a more topical message. I've been a fan of the show since I first reviewed it four years ago, but this year is the best ever, mostly due to the casting of Austin theatre legend Marc Pouhé as Scrooge.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) has engaged British artist Lincoln Townley for the fifth year in succession to create a suite of portraits in celebration of the 2019 British Academy Britannia Awards honorees – Jackie Chan, Steve Coogan, Jane Fonda, Norman Lear, Jordan Peele and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Townley has generously donated the proceeds of these works of art which will be sold immediately following the event to raise funds for BAFTA Los Angeles' ongoing educational and community outreach programming through their Access for All campaign. Bill Kenwright's 'Dazzling' (Sunday Telegraph) production of the international smash hit musical Blood Brothers returns this summer with a three-week season at Cork Opera House from 5 August before embarking on a UK tour. Starring Lyn Paul in the iconic role of Mrs Johnstone for the final time, she will be joined by Joel Benedict as Eddie, Danielle Corlass as Linda, Danny Taylor as Sammy and Chloe Taylor as Mrs Lyons. Alexander Patmore returns as Mickey alongside Robbie Scotcher as the narrator.

C. Luke Soucy steps into the role of 'washed-up thriller playwright' Sidney Bruhl confidently, exuding a deft connection with the wit, tempo, and maturity of the character. Abby Melick, as the eccentric and prophetic Helga Ten Dorp, is another PST regular, who once again shines with her comic timing and captivating connection to character.

Warner Bros has announced that Christoper Nolan's next film, titled Tenet, has begun shooting, according to Deadline. The film, which is Nolan's first since 2017's Dunkirk, has also added Michael Caine, Dunkirk's Kenneth Branagh, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Clémence Poésy.
