A new live event venue for the North West has been launched – and is ready to welcome audiences and visitors this Summer as soon as lockdown restrictions have been lifted.

Today Concord Theatricals launched a brand new lyric video in honor of the 65th anniversary of the 1956 film Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel, featuring the musical’s most enduring and uplifting anthem, “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.

Since the pandemic forced an early end to his four year stint as Ubaldo Piangi in the West End’s The Phantom of the Opera, Paul Ettore Tabone has been keeping busy working on his debut album. The music is in the classical crossover style, with each song reflecting a part of his journey from growing up in rural Australia to being taken all over the world by his lush lyrical tenor.

Just last week, BBC Radio 2 and BBC One aired  Musicals: The Greatest Show- a celebration of the nation's favorite songs and performers from the world of musical theatre. Hosted on radio and television by multi-award winning performer Sheridan Smith, it put the songs, the shows, and the stars, back on stage at the world famous London Palladium.

The former British Military Officer Moore began on 6 April 2020, at the age of 99 to walk around his garden in aid of NHS Charities Together with the goal of raising £1,000 by his hundredth birthday.

West End and Broadway star, Marisha Wallace, (Dreamgirls, Waitress and The Book of Mormon) recently released her debut album “Tomorrow” through Universal's Decca Records. Offering a combination of dynamic covers and original tracks, the album reminds the theater lover of the brightness, hope, and life that this community still breathes – despite lockdowns and unprecedented challenges.

An ever-mutating virus has led to general uncertainty on and off the West End about the start-up of live performance. That shifting scenario in turn brings to mind some of the titles from this time last year that were sounding especially promising and that, with luck, will reappear at some point to make good on their potential.
