LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & MC COY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT are thrilled to present the third production in its 2013-1014 season of shows, the 2009 Tony Award-winning play, GOD OF CARNAGE, written by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by Michael Arabian. GOD OF CARNAGE will preview tonight, January 24, 2014 (with a press opening on Saturday, January 25) and run through Sunday, February 16, 2014 at La MiradaTheatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.

Gate Theatre's 'I'll Go On' by Samuel Beckett opened Sunday, January 12, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre. A celebrated interpreter of Beckett, Barry McGovern is known to Los Angeles audiences for his performance as Vladimir in the acclaimed 2012 production of 'Waiting for Godot' at the Mark Taper Forum (LADCC Awards, Best Revival and Best Ensemble; Ovation Award Best Production and Best Ensemble). The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC) has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre in 2012. The 44th annual LADCC Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 18 at historic, heralded Los Angeles Theatre Center, 514 S. Spring Street in downtown L.A.

The Odyssey Theatre continues its unique two evening festival of short plays performed completely in the dark ("DARK" and "MORE DARK"), combining the best of both evenings into a single performance ("BEYOND DARK - the 'Best of' Theatre in the Dark") for an additional 6 weeks, today, January 5 through February 9. With the audience and actors bathed in complete darkness, the imagination and senses are left to soar.
