La MaMa Announces Full Line-Up for DOWNTOWN VARIETY: SERBIA EDITION

A dozen performance artists from Serbia – including a puppeteer, drag queen, poet, filmmaker, multimedia artists, musicians, sound designer, dancers, actors and interactive audio/visual game creators – will be featured in DOWNTOWN VARIETY, the monthly livestream presented by La MaMa and CultureHub on Friday, February 19 at 4 p.m. (eastern).

The popular “Off Broadway in the Boros: Pop-Ups” performances will make their broadcast television debut on NYC Life, the lifestyle channel of the City of New York’s broadcast network NYC Media, on Friday, January 15.  The series of five performances, 20 minutes each in length, will be available to New Yorkers via the network’s NYC Life channel.

A series of five, innovative and entertaining 'Off Broadway in the Boros: Pop-Ups' performances, 20 minutes each in length, can now be enjoyed online. The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and small theatre groups collaborated on these outdoor pop-up performances, which took place in public plazas in each of the five boroughs.

SITI Company has announced the SITI Legacy Plan, which includes a finale 30th anniversary season and the creation of a robust physical and digital archive. At the conclusion of the finale season, anticipated to be the Fall of 2022, SITI Company will cease to operate in its current iteration as a touring, teaching, performing ensemble.
