“Let's go see a poetry show.” That is a sentence rarely proclaimed and usually responded to with cringes and excuses. The Mayhem Poets are on a mission to change that.

Members of the community are invited to Overture Center's annual American Red Cross Blood Drive in Overture Hall Lobby on Wednesday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Overture Center's 2022/23 season, revealed in May 2022, showcases an array of diverse artistic expressions, cultures and personality.

Fans of the performing arts can choose from seven “Broadway at Overture” titles―including four Madison premieres―and more than 30 other national and international shows, including three Cabaret performances, four National Geographic Live shows and a new musical experience, “Up Close.”

CAPA presents The Mayhem Poets at the Lincoln Theatre (769 E. Long St.) on Tuesday, April 26, at 7:30 pm.

On Tuesday, August 6th UN Celebrity Youth Activist and recording artist Meredith O'Connor visited the Long Island-based arts day camp, Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts.  

On August 5th, Jazz saxophone player and singer Grace Kelly trekked out to Long Island's Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts—the pre-eminent visual and performing arts day camp in New York— to perform as part of the camp's daily Festival Program.

On August 2nd, two-time Tony nominee and former American Idol constant Constantine Maroulis' visited Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts—the pre-eminent visual and performing arts day camp in New York— to perform as part of the camp's daily Festival Program.

Frozen cast members Alyssa Fox (Elsa standby), Noah J Ricketts (Kristoff) and Mat Eisenstein (Asst conductor/keyboard) visited Long Island's Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts - the pre-eminent visual and performing arts day camp in New York- to perform as part of the camp's daily Festival Program.

Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts (www.usdan.org), one of the preeminent nonprofit arts day camps in the country, today announced the Festival lineup for its 2019 Season, which kicks off on July 2. Curated by Usdan's Festival Artistic Director Jonathan Shmidt Chapman, the 2019 program consists of student performances as well as 14 different professional acts, representing genres from classical and pop music to dance, poetry, musical theater, and more.

Parallel Exit, the three-time Drama Desk nominee for Unique Theatrical Experience, brought its unique brand of physical comedy to Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts.  Today's performance featured Artistic Director Mark Lonergan with Joel Jeske and Brent McBeth, shown here with a few of the Usdan campers.  They wowed the close to 1600-person crowd with an updated vaudeville style clowning which included jokes, magic and feats of wonder. The performance was presented as part of Usdan's 50th anniversary Festival series which has also included Flor de Toloache, an all female mariachi band; Mayhem Poets, and Sole Defined, among others.

Annenberg Center Live presents the best in contemporary children's entertainment for its 33rd annual Philadelphia Children's Festival, May 17 through 19. Top professional artists from Philadelphia and beyond will showcase dance, theatre, music, magic, spoken word, and more over the three days of family-friendly festivities that will close the Annenberg Center's 2017-18 season.
