BWW Review: 1969: THE SECOND MAN at Next Door at NYTW

On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, and Buzz Aldrin followed behind him. On August 28, 2018, nearly 50 years later, Next Door at the New York Theatre Workshop brought Buzz's life from the shadows and into the (moon) light in 1969: The Second Man.

FARMED: A Live Podcast Comes to Joe's Pub

Composer Trevor Bachman kicks off the U.S. national tour of FARMED: A Live Podcast Album on May 11th at Joe's Pub. Described by the NY Times as 'musically and vocally rich' and noted for his 'soulful vocals', Bachman combines live interview with heart-pounding beats, electric harmonies, and an earth-shaking choir of voices. Sourcing interviews from audiences in cities around the country, FARMED, originally inspired by George Orwell's Animal Farm, bridges distant communities through conversation and song. All concerts are live studio events, and recorded for podcast.

All-Female Actor-Musician Musical AGENT 355 Comes to (le) Poisson Rouge

Agent 355, a new musical with music, lyrics, and book by Preston Max Allen, and book and dramaturgy by Jessica Kahkoska, will have a concert presentation at (le) Poisson Rouge on May 22nd at 8pm. Agent 355 is directed by Sammi Cannold and features music direction and orchestrations by Madeline Smith.

Company of Fools Presents CLYBOURNE PARK

Company of Fools' 22nd season of theatre continues in February with a production of Clybourne Park, a searingly funny play by Bruce Norris that won both the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2012 Tony Award for Best Play. Clybourne Park will run Feb. 21 March 10 at the Liberty Theater in Hailey and will be directed by Denise Simone, one of Company of Fools' founding members and a Core Company Artist until late 2016. The play is produced in conjunction with The Center's BIG IDEA project This Land Is Whose Land?

Last night The Public Theater celebrated the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, the American tribal love-rock musical that originally opened at The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street.
