Veteran Twin Cities actor JC Cutler is starring in Six Points Theater's production of Uncle Philip's Coat, written by playwright Matty Selman. This play, a solo performance piece, opens October 22 and runs through November 13. 

Six Points Theater, now in its 28th year, has announced its 2022-2023 season. The season includes a poignant play about pursuing your dreams; a heartwarming comedy that follows the friendship of two Chabad-Lubavitcher young men as they seek to do good deeds with their Mitzvah tank; a new play by Anna Ziegler, and more.

Cherry Lane Theatre's Founding Artistic Director Angelina Fiordellisi will step down as Artistic Director of Cherry Lane, where she has been developing, producing and creating new programs for playwrights, and has been a driving force since she acquired the legendary Off-Broadway theatre 21 years ago.

Created to showcase and support Chicago's burgeoning field of musical theatre creators, this year's festival will be held August 9 - 28, 2016 at Victory Gardens Richard Christiansen Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. Each production will receive four performances during the Festival. 'MotherStruck!,' written and performed by Staceyann Chin, co-produced in New York by Rosie O'Donnell, Robert Dragotta and Culture Project, and originally directed by Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award-winner Cynthia Nixon begins Greenhouse Theater Center's 'Solo Celebration' at the Greenhouse (2257 N Lincoln Ave).

Today, Jacob Harvey, Artistic Director of the Greenhouse Theater Center, announced the 12 plays that will be presented as part of the 'Solo Celebration!' series, running June 2016 - February 2017, including new works from acclaimed Chicago-based playwrights including Isaac Gomez, Brett Neveu, Douglas Post, Susan Padveen and Philip Dawkins (who will also be performing his solo work).

 The ten-week run of the United Solo Festival, featuring 150 productions from six continents, concluded on Sunday, November 22 at Theatre Row in New York, where the festival is a resident company. Beginning with its opening night on September 17, United Solo presented between two and five shows every day, in a vast array of categories. Over 80 of the shows were sold out, and nearly 30 were presented in the ENCORE program, which features companies returning to the festival after successful performances in previous years.
