Antipodes Theatre Company has announced the Lead Artists and projects participating in the fifth Winter Lab, an annual accelerator for bold work and new ideas, taking place 1 - 13 July, 2024 in Melbourne.
Earlier this season, Theatre 29 announced the desert debut of the Off-Broadway musical “Disenchanted” as part of their 2023-24 season. Due to unforeseen casting difficulties, they were not able to continue that project. Director Charles Harvey was able to field a quick replacement show for the same timeframe, the hugely popular ecumenical musical, “Nunsense”.

I don’t think that South Pacific or even the shows of Rogers and Hammerstein are especially dated or irrelevant. A few years back, Fulton put on The Sound of Music to great appreciation and acclaim. I wish they were able to capture some of that magic this time around.
