TOP CHEF and THE CHEW's Carla Hall to Serve Up Tasty Stagecraft in THE THEATRICAL CULINARY PROJECT

Theater has never tasted so good. THE THEATRICAL CULINARY PROJECT jumps into the immersive performance arena with a new project in development that fuses the in-the-moment magic of the theater with a sublime dining experience. Emmy Winning Co-Host of THE CHEW and TOP CHEF finalist Carla Hall, serves as the Executive Chef, serving a four course tasting menu to an audience that is enveloped in a multi-layered play, written by award winning playwrights Courtney Baron (Humana's Eat Your Heart Out), Hilary Bettis (The Kilroy's Top 7% List, Ghosts of Lote Bravo), and Daniel Pearle (LCT3's A Kid Like Jake), and directed by Marlo Hunter (Prospect Theater Company's Unlock'd). Co-Created by actor & producer Sasha Eden (WET Productions'BFF) and director & choreographer Marlo Hunter.

Musical presentations started October 23 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) and included Beautiful Poison, Cubamor, Great Wall, How To Break, Mary Marie, The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes, String and Stu For Silverton. The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) announces this season's Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography from more than 200 eligible productions in the 2013-2014 New York City theatre season. This year's awards will be presented to John Rando for his direction of The Heir Apparent, produced by Classic Stage Company, and Martha Clarke for her choreography of Cheri, produced by Signature Theatre.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) has announced the 2014-2015 Committee for the Joe A. Callaway Award, the only peer-given award for excellence in direction and choreography. The Committee, which will oversee the award for the theatre season, is Sue Lawless, William Martin, Barry McNabb, Leslie (Hoban) Blake, Linda Burson, Jonathan Cerullo, Edie Cowan, Clinton Turner Davis, John Going, Richard Hamburger, Bruce Heath, Michael Montel, DJ Salisbury, and Amy Saltz. Sue Lawless will serve as Committee Chair.

It is always exciting to say 'I saw the world premiere'. You will have such an opportunity if you catch the hilarious new musical My Life Is A Musical by Adam Overett running through August 31st at Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theatre. It is still in its early stages, but the enthusiastic reception seems to indicate that tickets may be in short supply as the production continues its run.
