KPFK Radio's Arts in Review, Los Angeles's longest-running radio showcase on live theater and cabaret, will be presenting broadcasts of works from local theaters during this stay-at-home Pandemic crises, during the month of May.

Shout! Factory TV has announced that on June 1, 2020, all 11 seasons of one of the most acclaimed and influential TV series of all-time, and the winner of 25 Emmy® Awards, “The Carol Burnett Show,” will be available for viewing on streaming platforms.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Peter H. Hunt, director and lighting designer for the theatre, has died. He was 81 years old. Hunt was best known as the director of both the stage and screen versions of the musical 1776. 

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces a free, live digital performance initiative, Couch Concerts, to help inspire, uplift, heal, and bring the performing arts from the homes of artists into homes across the country and around the world during these difficult times.

Our Virginia Stage artists are here to teach, to entertain, and to connect with the community - even when we can't meet you in person. During the current pandemic, KPFK Radio's Arts in Review, Los Angeles's longest-running radio showcase on live theater and cabaret, will be airing short plays. The works are being produced by local small theaters and cabarets. The debut production will be Air Repertory Players' original adaptation of Mark Twain's The Diary of Adam and Eve, written and directed by Julio Martinez, starring James Greene (Mark Twain), Nick Rogers (Adam) and Irene Arranga (Eve).

Snowlion Repertory Company, whose mission is to create, develop, and present new theater works of cultural, ethical, and spiritual value, announces the world premiere production of the new musical comedy The Secret Princess running April 24 through May 3 at Portland Ballet Studio Theater in Portland.  

Deadline reports that Tina Fey and Robert Carlock will produce 'Mulligan,' a new animated comedy at Netflix. The streamer has ordered 20 episodes.

Granbury Theatre Company will continue its 2020 Broadway on the Brazos season with Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn on April 3-26, 2020, at the historic Granbury Opera House in Downtown Granbury.

On Wednesday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall. Grammy Award-winning new music choir The Crossing, led by Donald Nally, performs the New York premiere of Michael Gordon's Travel Guide to Nicaragua with cutting-edge cellist Maya Beiser, a work co-commissioned by Carnegie Hall as part of its 125 Commissions Project.

Comedian Dave Chappelle is coming to Mohegan Sun Arena's stage for back-to-back stand-up shows on Saturday, May 9th at 7:00pm and 10:00pm.

Los Angeles-based HelMel Studios, founded by actor, artist and philanthropist Val Kilmer, and Austin, Texas-based Mosaic Sound Collective announce a strategic partnership, celebrating with multiple events during this year's March festival season. The two multidisciplinary nonprofits join forces in a “strategic bond” to offer each other a presence and footing in both cities, with Austin hosting the official kickoff next month. With similar philosophies uniting the two organizations, HelMel and Mosaic are thrilled to come together and offer musicians, visual artists, filmmakers and creatives in each city a unique bridge of opportunity and synergy.

State Theatre New Jersey presents comedian Jay Leno on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 8pm. Tickets range from $49-$175.

At the University of Arizona's Centennial Hall. on January 28, 2020, the Tucson Desert Song Festival presented Thomas Hampson, baritone, with Lara Downes, piano, and the Beyond Liberty Players: Stephen Buck, synthesizer; Judy Kang, violin; Jesus Morales, cello; and Alex Laing, clarinet; The show libretto was based on an original work by Royce Vavrek which first appeared in a Francesca Zambello production at the 2018 Glimmerglass Festival in upstate New York
