Theater Resources Unlimited will host a free meet-and-greet info session about their Producer Development and Mentorship Program on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 6pm ET. TRU is The only theater production program to offer in-depth instruction from accomplished producers at an affordable price.

Peacock has ordered THE UNDECLARED WAR, a timely and provocative six-part cyber thriller, directed and co-written by seven-time BAFTA winner Peter Kosminsky ('Wolf Hall', 'The Government Inspector'). The series will also air on Channel 4 in the UK. Set in 2024 in the run up to a British general election, THE UNDECLARED WAR tracks a leading team of analysts buried in the heart of GCHQ, the UK's version of the NSA, secretly working to ward off a cyber-attack on the country's electoral system.

Aaron Sorkin has revealed that he considered making his film, The Trial of the Chicago 7, into a musical! The American legal drama film was written and directed by Sorkin, and stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sacha Baron Cohen, Daniel Flaherty, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and more.

Sacha talks about winning two Golden Globe Awards for Borat, doing Abbie Hoffman’s accent for The Trial of the Chicago 7, the horrible mix-up when sending his audition tape to Steven Spielberg, wearing different underwear for every character he plays, and he reveals that doing a Borat bit on our show inspired him to make Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.

The movie stars an ensemble cast including Julia Sarah Stone (Allure), Morgan Kohan (Star Trek Discovery), Brittany Bristow (Good Witch), Tymika Tafari (Murdoch Mysteries), and Kyla Young (Alias Grace).

Tony and Academy Award winner Mark Rylance (The Trial of the Chicago 7), Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner series), Zoey Deutch (Set It Up) and Johnny Flynn (EMMA.) are set to star. Producers are Scoop Wasserstein, Ben Browning and Amy Jackson.

Theater Resources Unlimited has announced their monthly panel Art and Activism: How Theater Can Open (and Change) Minds on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 6pm via Zoom. The Zoom session will open at 6pm for roundtable introductions of attendees, and the program will start at 6:30pm - come prepared with your best 20-second summary of who you are, and what you need.
