As BroadwayWorld previously reported, WAITRESS will end its Broadway run at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020. When the show says goodbye to Broadway, it will have played 33 previews and 1544 performances.

Richard Kline Joins The Broadway Cast Of WAITRESS Tonight July 24

Richard Kline (a?oeThree's Companya??) will join the Broadway cast as Joe tonight, July 24th through Sunday, August 18th. Kline replaces Larry Marshall, who will join the National Tour of Waitress and return to the Broadway cast on Tuesday, August 20th.

Breaking News: WAITRESS to End Broadway Run in January

On Tuesday, BroadwayWorld learned that WAITRESS will end its Broadway run at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020. Featuring a book by Jessie Nelson and a score by Sara Bareilles WAITRESS began performances on Broadway on March 25, 2016, and was nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Today's subjects Dana P. Rowe and John Dempsey are currently living their theatre lives as the writing team for the excellent swashbuckling World Premiere Musical Blackbeard at Signature Theatre. The production runs through July 14th in the MAX.

Mark Evans Will Join WAITRESS on Broadway as Dr. Pomatter

The producers of the hit musical Waitress announced today that Mark Evans (The Play That Goes Wrong) with join the Broadway cast as Dr. Pomatter on July 23rd. Erich Bergen will play his final performance on July 21st.

The Muny announced today its complete cast, design and production team for Lerner and Loewe's Paint Your Wagon, the sixth show of its second century, July 27 – August 2. Lerner and Loewe's Paint Your Wagon is proudly sponsored by Ameren.     

Rob McClure & Kate Baldwin Will Lead Reading of MRS. DOUBTFIRE Musical

As BroadwayWorld reported last summer, Alchemation and Kevin McCollum plan to bring a musical version of MRS. DOUBTFIRE to Broadway! Four-time Tony Award Winner Jerry Zaks will direct, joined by Tony Award Nominees John O'Farrell and Karey Kirkpatrick (book) and Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick (music and lyrics).

Taylor Louderman, Will Swenson, Mamie Parris, Ann Harada, Jason Gotay, Laura Michelle Kelly and More Announced For THE MUNY's 101st Season

BroadwayWorld has learned that The Muny announced today 25 principal cast members for the first season of its second century. Complete company casting will be announced throughout April and May. The 101st season opens on a brand new, state-of-the-art stage with Muny favorite Guys and Dolls followed by the U.S. regional premiere of Kinky Boots. The season continues with 1776, Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, Footloose and a newly-reimagined Lerner and Loewe's Paint Your Wagon. Season 101 closes with the highly-anticipated Muny debut of Roald Dahl's Matilda.

Photo Flash: First Look at Encores! I MARRIED AN ANGEL!

Next up at New York City Center is I Married an Angel, the second Encores! production of the City Center 75th Anniversary Season. In addition to Sara Mearns as the Angel of the title, the production will feature Phillip Attmore (Peter Mueller), Max Baker (General Lucash), Mark Evans (Count Willy Palaffi), Ann Harada (Duchess of Holstein-Kuloff), Nikki M. James (Countess Peggy Palaffi), Hayley Podschun (Anna Murphy), and Tom Robbins (Harry Mischka Szigetti).
