Dave Lawrence, President & CEO of the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County today announced the 2019-2020 season of the popular series CULTURE & COCKTAILS. For the 15th season in a row, from November 2019 through April 2020, five fascinating conversations will be held at The Colony Hotel's Coral Ballroom, located at 155 Hammon Avenue in Palm Beach.

This summer, two-time Emmy Award and five-time Grammy Award nominee Michael Feinstein returns to Feinstein's54 Below in his all-new show I Happen To Like New York.  Performances are August 6 - 23 at 7PM. $85 - $105 cover charge, $120 - $130 VIP seating and $150-$165 premium seating. $25 food and beverage minimum.

Mr. Finn's Cabaret at Barrington Stage Company has become one of the countries leading presenters of the art form of cabaret. The road going from Birdland and Feinstein's/54 Below to Pittsfield Ma. now also comes from Las Vegas. A new summer concert series will bring both top food trucks and well-known jazz musicians to Dolan Performance Hall on the campus of the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown. There are many organizations that have been established to preserve our musical heritage and at the forefront of those that specialize in The Great American Songbook, Michael Feinstein's foundation is one of the most important and influential.  Last night at a private event Michael entertained for a Park Avenue apartment full of generous New Yorkers who had gathered to help support The Great American Songbook Foundation founded by Michael in 2007.

In its 114 year life the Dutch Treat Club has had a membership that included, Jimmy Cagney, George S. Kaufman, Walter Cronkite, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein ll, and Presidents Hoover, Eisenhower, Truman, and Ford. The great Broadway producer George Abbot was a member for 52 years when he died at the age of 107. But enough about the past. This year this historic New York City institution which was founded by and for creative people decided to honor someone young, creative and contemporary, so they chose...Marilyn Maye…an artist for every generation.

As Johnny Carson once said about a super singer (Marilyn Maye), 'you young singers if you want to see how it's done listen to this'….I'm sure if Johnny had heard Clint Holms, Veronica Swift, and Nicolas King he would be giving that same instruction to aspiring vocalists. Last night the three gave an awesome display of musicianship when singing the unique songs of Ken Laub. The exciting Tedd Firth arrangements were played by the swinging Sherrie Miracle Diva orchestra with pianist and music director Firth conducting.

Bellman's Bar in The Carlyle Hotel is a time capsule of New York City celebrity music nightlife. Sunday's the music and entertainment of BIlly Stritch and Jim Caruso superbly add to the history of the legendary room. Last night Jim was probably being mobbed at the Easter Parade being mistaken for Fred Astaire so BIlly had award winning Jazz vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli join him for an evening of great music.

For his ninth consecutive season as Producing Artistic Director at Provincetown's Art House, Mark Cortale is announcing a special music and comedy lineup.
