Glenda Jackson did so last in a starred performance on Broadway in 2019, but Kathryn Hunter is taking the wretched crown back after her first stint as the destitute monarch 25 years ago.

BWW Review: MEET ME AT DAWN, Arcola Theatre

In a programme note, Meet Me At Dawn's writer Zinnie Harris explains that the work engages with the life-defining moment in the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice when the former looks back and seals his lover's fate to remain in the underworld. BWW Review: A MONSTER CALLS, Old Vic

BWW Review: ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD, Old Vic

Fifty years on, Tom Stoppard's absurdist tragicomedy is back in the theatre where it had its professional premiere, and still just as dazzlingly virtuosic.
