Multicom Entertainment Group has acquired worldwide rights to the true-story romantic drama THE BROKEN ONES. Directed by Elyse Niblett-Russell, the film was written and produced by Cece King (“Marvel's Jessica Jones,” “The Good Fight”), and stars King, Charlie Bewley (TWILIGHT, “Colony”), Margaret Colin (INDEPENDENCE DAY, UNFAITHFUL), Constance Schulman (“Orange is the New Black”) and James Russo (DJANGO UNCHAINED). Produced by Ramfis Myrthil, Jeff Solema, Janek Ambrose, Charlie Bewley and Julie Helton, THE BROKEN ONES is set for release on multiple VOD platforms and DVD on July 10th.  

Broadway Barks returns in just a few weeks, and the lineup of stars in attendance has just been announced.

REPRISE 2.0 (led by Producing Artistic Director Marcia Seligson), in association with the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television's Department of Theater (UCLA TFT) chaired by Brian Kite, presents its inaugural production of Sweet Charity.  Directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall with musical direction by Gerald Sternbach, the classic Broadway hit plays through July 1 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. Producers Roy Furman and Scott Rudin announced today that the critically acclaimed revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel, now nominated for 11 Tony Awards®, will release a new cast recording. Available digitally on Friday, June 8, the album will be in stores on Friday, July 13.

New Dramatists, Tony® Honor recipient and the nation's premier playwright development laboratory, just honored Tony®and Academy Award-winner Denzel Washington at its 69th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute. Washington, currently starring on Broadway in The Iceman Cometh, directed by George C. Wolfe, received New Dramatists' 2018 Distinguished Achievement Award. Tributes to Mr. Washington and performances were presented by three-time Grammy Award-winner Branford Marsalis with bassist Noah Jackson, Tony®Award-winners George C. Wolfe and Stephen McKinley Henderson, Constanza Romero (August Wilson Estate), and Pulitzer Prize finalist and New Dramatists resident playwright Kristoffer Diaz (The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity).

The Broadway revival of Carousel shared some exciting news on Twitter this evening, as they shared a behind the scenes look of the cast in the recording studio prepping to capture this exquisite revival for all time on its very own cast recording. The company of Carousel had reason to celebrate this week, as the show picked up eleven Tony nominations. One of them went to the outstanding choreography of Justin Peck, who makes his Broadway debut with this piece. Watch as the company brings his vision to life on the Imperial stage below!

Carousel and The Actors Fund announced today that the new hit revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic musical will host a special Mondaymatinee performace on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th St.), with proceeds to benefit The Actors Fund.

Justin Peck is a '21-century sensation' when it comes to the dance world. His most recent project was choreographing the current revival of Carousel on Broadway.
