13th Annual The Fire This Time Festival Postponed To Summer 2022

The festival, which was originally scheduled to run January 17-February 6, 2022 at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery), features World Premiere 10-minute plays by early career and under-represented playwrights from the African diaspora. Information on the new performance dates will be announced in the coming months. 

Heartbeat Opera Announces Four-City Tour of FIDELIO

Heartbeat Opera will mount a four-city tour of its powerful 2018 adaptation of Beethoven's masterpiece, FIDELIO, which Heartbeat artistic director Ethan Heard conceived for the era of Black Lives Matter. The tour begins at home in NY's Metropolitan Museum on February 10, 12, and 13, 2022.

Prospect Announces Full Line-up For 11/17 RULE OF THREE Musical Theater Lab, In Concert

 Prospect Theater Company has announced the full cast for a special one-night-only concert performance at NYC’s Symphony Space (2537 Broadway @ 95th Street). On Wednesday, November 17th @ 7:30pm the company will present RULE OF THREE, a concert evening featuring hot-off-the-presses offerings generated in its annual Musical Theater Lab.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Announces the New MetLiveArts Season of Performances 

The Met today announced a new season of live performances with in-person audiences beginning fall 2021 and a new Artist in Residence, the acclaimed dancer and choreographer Bijayini Satpathy. Beginning in October, performances will once again take place in galleries throughout the Museum, as well as in the Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium, and will feature MetLiveArts commissions and leading international musicians and composers.  

Heartbeat Opera Announces 2021-2022 Season

HEARTBEAT OPERA will return to the in-person stage for its eighth season this year.  Heartbeat's 2021-22 season kicks off in September with a free outdoor screening of BREATHING FREE, their visual album that connects Beethoven's Fidelio with the work of Black composers and lyricists such as Harry T. Burleigh, Langston Hughes, and Anthony Davis.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts announced today that Jason Robert Brown, Savion Glover, Priscilla López, Susan Stroman, Marisha Wallace, and Christopher Wheeldon have joined the growing list of Broadway stars participating in I'm Still Here: A Virtual Benefit for the Billy Rose Theatre Division, airing June 23, 2021 on Broadway On Demand at 8pm EST and 8pm PST. The fundraiser will help raise critical funds for the Library for the Performing Arts' beloved Theatre Division as it celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.

NYPL Billy Rose Theatre Division Will Celebrate 90 Years with I'M STILL HERE Virtual Benefit
