Battersea Arts Centre announced its 2026 spring season, showcasing a diverse array of performances set to captivate audiences in London.

Australian movement-based theatre company Force Majeure will present idk, a mesmerising blend of movement and narrative performance, which examines the nuances of navigating consent and the shifting nature of boundaries. 

Ian McDougall, Chair of leading Australian dance company Lucy Guerin Inc (LGI) has announced that Chloe Munro OA, the former LGI Chair who passed away in June 2021 has made a bequest of two million dollars – the largest ever for Australian contemporary dance - to the company, with specific obligations to its usage.

RISING, a festival three years in the making, has opened today. Victoria's newest major event commences its first uninterrupted, full program of music, art, performance and ceremony that will reawaken and reconnect the city to the world, inviting audiences to get lost, go deep and shake loose.

This comes after the show was forced to close on July 4 after a cast member tested positive for COVID-19. The closure period extended on July 12 due to “a small number of isolated positive cases of Covid-19 within the company.'

The Keir Choreographic Award is Australia's first major choreographic award presented by the Keir Foundation, Carriageworks and Dancehouse with the Australia Council. The Keir Choreographic Award is a national biennial award dedicated to commissioning short works and promoting innovative, experimental and cross-artform practices in contemporary dance. The award invites Australian professional artists with an established practice to propose a choreographic idea for an original live performance of no more than 20 minutes.

Carriageworks today announced the public program for the 2018 Keir Choreographic Award (KCA), Australia's first major choreographic award, in partnership with The Keir Foundation, Dancehouse and Australia Council for the Arts. From 27 February - 20 March 2018, the diverse public program expands on the Keir Choreographic Awards Sydney season and includes performances, workshops and discussions engaging the 2018 KCA jurors.
