Watch the performance of 'One Day More' from Broadway Backwards 2023!

Last year, Luis Salgado directed and choreographed IN THE HEIGHTS at STAGES St. Louis. It was among the most critically acclaimed productions of the year in St. Louis. His production was recognized with 11 St. Louis Critics Circle nominations and six wins including Outstanding Production, Outstanding Ensemble and Outstanding Choreography. This year, Salgado returns to STAGES St. Louis to direct and choreograph AIDA.

This evening, the 2023 Helen Hayes Awards took place at The Anthem on the District Wharf, with over 1,600 theatre-makers and theatre supporters in attendance. Esteemed Washington theatre artists Naomi Jacobson, Erika Rose, Holly Twyford, and Christopher Michael Richardson hosted an evening showcasing the vibrant and diverse community of professional theatre artists in the Washington region.

STAGES St. Louis has announced the full cast of their 2023 production of Elton John & Tim Rice's AIDA, performing June 2 - July 2 at The Ross Family Theatre at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center.

On April 17, three high school students will experience the joy of live theatre in a whole new way - as playwrights. Annabelle Futch (of Greenwich), Savanna Shettler (of Danbury) and Ben Souza (of Shelton) were named winners of The Palace Theatre's 2023 Ernie DiMattia Emerging Young Artist Awards for their writing of an original one-act play. All three will witness their voices and visions come to life with a staged reading by professional actors at The Palace in Stamford.

Mayo Performing Arts Center will present a brand new production of the smash-hit musical ON YOUR FEET! THE STORY OF EMILIO & GLORIA ESTEFAN. ON YOUR FEET! will play MPAC Saturday and Sunday, April 15-16.  Tickets are $69-$109.

Samuel Garnica is a professional actor, dancer, singer and voiceover from Caracas, Venezuela, who is currently performing at the National Tour of the Broadway show On your Feet! In this new production, Samuel García shines in the role of Emilio Estefan, Gloria Estefan's husband and lifelong career partner.
