Northern Light Theatre is proud to present the professional Canadian premiere of American playwright Mickle Maher's deft deconstruction of artistic collaboration through the absurdist conceit of pairing two of history’s most famous deaf artists, Ludwig van Beethoven and Quasimodo, the fictional bell ringer of Notre Dame.

BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons returns to the Boston Symphony Orchestra podium in January to lead the world premiere of the BSO co-commission Short Stories from the Vienna Woods by Viennese composer HK Gruber and the U.S. premiere of Augusta Read Thomas' Dance Foldings—and is joined by superstar soloists Hilary Hahn, violin, and Jean-Yves Thibaudet, piano, in concertos by Mozart and Liszt, respectively.

The NSO will present Beethoven & American Masters, a three-week festival featuring concerts that belatedly celebrate the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth. Led by Music Director Gianandrea Noseda, the concerts pair symphonies by Beethoven with works by 20th-century American composers William Grant Still and George Walker.

Last night, the People's Improv Theater hosted Richard Kind (A Serious Man, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Big Mouth), Judy Gold (Awkwafina: Nora From Queens, Better Things, Roseanne) and Jeff Ayars (Comedy Central, The New Yorker, The Daily Show) for a preview performance of writer David Skovron's screenplay VOICES-an indie feature in pre-production for mid-2022.

The Drama League has announced the dates and programming for DirectorFest 2022, a festival focusing on the art of contemporary stage directing by an exciting new generation of talent, featuring brand new productions led by its 2021 Directing Fellows.

New England Conservatory has announced a series of fall master classes in-person and streaming live from the Boston campus this fall. Continuing with the technological innovations made during the pandemic, digital master classes and events by world-class artists open the doors of the Conservatory to anyone watching around the world.

Pierrot Productions will present “33 Variations” Nov. 19 through Dec. 4 at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre located at 1200 Old Trenton Road in West Windsor Township. 

The San Diego Symphony today announced its winter-spring 2022 concert season, offering 31 performances of classical and contemporary masterworks and chamber music from January 15 through May 28. Presented as “Hear Us Here,” the season will give the San Diego Symphony the opportunity to bring its music to a wider audience, with concerts performed at nine venues in the city and across the County, including the Symphony's newest venue, The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.

The National Symphony Orchestra announced today a collaboration with Capital One Hall that includes a four-concert series at Northern Virginia's newest performing arts venue. Located in Tysons, the state-of-the-arts complex opened earlier this month and already boasts a robust lineup of local arts groups, touring artists, and Broadway productions.

After an incredible opening night of performances by the Greeley Chamber Orchestra, the UNC Asian Ensemble, and a breathtaking performance by the brilliant Colorado Piano Trio (violinist Jubal Fulks, pianist Adam Piotr Żukiewicz, and cellist Gal Faganel), Beethoven in the Rockies will have its second concert tonight featuring pianist Dr. Gjergji Gaqi.

Continuing its momentum from a successful summer festival of in-person performances, Bridgehampton Chamber Music inaugurates its first fall series, BCM Autumn, that continues the 37-year-old organization's expansion beyond its summer festival (a BCM Spring mini-series began in 2015).  Two Saturday early-evening concerts in November will – belatedly – celebrate Ludwig van Beethoven's 250th birthday as a Beethoven “mini-fest.”

Beethoven in the Rockies is a new concert series that pays homage to one of the greatest composers who ever lived; Ludwig van Beethoven. This incredible concert series consists of nine performances, between October 8, 2021, through December 17, 2021, at the University of Northern Colorado, Campus Commons Performance Hall in Greeley, Colorado (1051 22nd St, Greeley, CO 80639).
