Northern Light Theatre Stages Canadian Premier of THE HUNCHBACK VARIATIONS

Northern Light Theatre is proud to present the professional Canadian premiere of American playwright Mickle Maher's deft deconstruction of artistic collaboration through the absurdist conceit of pairing two of history’s most famous deaf artists, Ludwig van Beethoven and Quasimodo, the fictional bell ringer of Notre Dame.

BSO & Andris Nelsons Welcome Violinist Hilary Hahn & Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet

BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons returns to the Boston Symphony Orchestra podium in January to lead the world premiere of the BSO co-commission Short Stories from the Vienna Woods by Viennese composer HK Gruber and the U.S. premiere of Augusta Read Thomas' Dance Foldings—and is joined by superstar soloists Hilary Hahn, violin, and Jean-Yves Thibaudet, piano, in concertos by Mozart and Liszt, respectively.

National Symphony Orchestra to Presents BEETHOVEN & AMERICAN MASTERS Festival

The NSO will present Beethoven & American Masters, a three-week festival featuring concerts that belatedly celebrate the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth. Led by Music Director Gianandrea Noseda, the concerts pair symphonies by Beethoven with works by 20th-century American composers William Grant Still and George Walker.
