This Sunday, 6 March 2022, 7 pm, the Bayerische Staatsoper will celebrate the premiere of Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes in a production by Stefan Herheim. With Edward Gardner conducting the Bayerische Staatsorchester, the performers on stage at the Nationaltheater include Stuart Skelton as Peter Grimes and Rachel Willis-Sørensen in a role debut as Ellen Orford.

La Musica International Chamber Music Festival, which celebrates its 36th season this year with events and concerts from April 1 to April 13, is pleased to announce changes and additions to its season.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents the Esme Quartet on March 18 at the Samueli Theater. The Esme Quartet features Wonhee Bae, violin, Yuna Ha, violin, Jiwon Kim, viola, and Ye-Eun Heo, cello. They will be joined for their Center debut by composer Soo Yeon Lyuh playing the haegeum. The program includes Lyuh's Yessori: A Fantasia for Haegeum; Debussy String Quartet; and Beethoven: String Quartet, Op. 59, No. 2.

On Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 7:30pm, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center presents the Calidore String Quartet in the New York premiere of GRAMMY Award-nominated composer Anna Clyne's Breathing Statues, a CMS co-commission, at the Rose Studio. The concert, part of the new-music series New Milestones, also includes Sofia Gubaidulina's Quartet No. 4 for Strings with Tape, Joan Tower's White Water, and Jörg Widmann's Jagdquartett.

On Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 7:30pm, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center will present the Calidore String Quartet in the New York City premiere of GRAMMY Award-nominated composer Anna Clyne's Breathing Statues, a CMS co-commission, at the Rose Studio.

San José Chamber Orchestra’s 30th Anniversary Season presents “Unbreakable”, featuring Delphi Trio, Beethoven’s Triple Concerto and the World Premieres of Clarice Assad’s Triple Concerto and Ahmed Alabaca’s Unbreakable.

Carnegie Hall announced today that the recital by pianist Yefim Bronfman originally planned for Friday, February 18 has been rescheduled for Monday, April 18 at 8:00PM due to changes in Mr. Bronfman's touring schedule. The concert program for the February 18 performance—including piano sonatas by Beethoven, Chopin, and Ustvolskaya—will remain as originally announced.

BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons returns to the Boston Symphony Orchestra podium in January to lead the world premiere of the BSO co-commission Short Stories from the Vienna Woods by Viennese composer HK Gruber and the U.S. premiere of Augusta Read Thomas' Dance Foldings—and is joined by superstar soloists Hilary Hahn, violin, and Jean-Yves Thibaudet, piano, in concertos by Mozart and Liszt, respectively.
