TheaterWorksUSA Announces Cast For DOG MAN: THE MUSICAL

TheaterWorksUSA (Barbara Pasternack, Artistic Director; Michael Harrington, Managing Director) is thrilled to announce the cast for the highly anticipated World Premiere of Dog Man: The Musical. Based on the worldwide bestselling hit series by Dav Pilkey, this production will begin performances on June 28 and end its limited run on August 4; opening night is set for Monday, July 8, 2019, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street). Lincoln Center Theater Announces INTIMATE APPAREL Opera Written By Lynn Nottage and Ricky Ian Gordon; Directed by Bartlett Sher

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has announced that it will produce Intimate Apparel, a new opera with music by Ricky Ian Gordon and a libretto by Lynn Nottage, based on her critically acclaimed play.  The production, which will be directed by Bartlett Sher, will begin previews Thursday, February 27 and open on Monday, March 23 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). 

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene Presents WHEN BLOOD RAN RED

Following the break-out success of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) will present When Blood Ran Red, a new, award-winning work that chronicles the darkest era in the Soviet Union, when former wartime heroes of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee were persecuted as enemies of the state for daring to report on the truth of the Holocaust in the German-occupied East. It will be performed on Sunday, June 16 at 2PM and 6PM at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, Edmond J. Safra Plaza, 36 Battery Place, NYC.

Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation Launches Podcast To Celebrate New York Theatre

The Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation today announced the debut of their first-ever podcast focused on Off-Broadway and the arts, entitled "Live at the Lortel." The first round of conversations will be recorded over two dates in June at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in the West Village, to be released in July. Each conversation is expected to include 45 minutes of moderated discussion followed by 15 minutes of questions from the audience. Hosted by Eric Ostrow, the first guests will include:
