Dorset Theatre Festival, under the leadership of Artistic Director Dina Janis and Producing Director Will Rucker, will begin performances of Slow Food by Wendy MacLeod, the final production of the 42nd Season, on August 22. 

Ashley Park has been announced as the co-star, opposite Lily Collins, in Paramount Network's half-hour dramedy, Emily in Paris, according to Deadline.  The series hails from Younger and Sex and the City creator Darren Star.

Full casting has been announced for the upcoming Broadway premiere of Slave Play, the acclaimed new work by Jeremy O. Harris, directed by Robert O'Hara.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern announce dates and casting for Is This A Room, conceived and directed by Tina Satter. Performances will begin at the Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) Thursday, October 3 with opening night set for Tuesday, October 22.

Imagine Documentaries President, Justin Wilkes, announced today that the company has reached an exclusive deal with the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation to produce the definitive documentary on Jazz legend and beloved entertainer, Louis Armstrong. The deal comes with access to hundreds of hours of audio recordings, film footage, photographs, personal diaries and a life's worth of ephemera for exclusive use in the first significant documentary dedicated entirely to his life. In addition to Louis' prolific music and film career, Louis was an avid biographer and kept an almost daily audio diary from the early 1950's until the day he passed in 1971, all on reel-to-reel tape recordings and all organized meticulously “for posterity” by “Pops” himself.  

A new block of tickets is now on sale for the new hit musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical, at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Tickets are now on sale through July 5, 2020.

Acclaimed actress/singer-songwriter Mare Winningham make her Café Carlyle debut, October 29-November 2. Mare Winningham was seen most recently at The Public Theater in the Olivier Award-winning Conor McPherson/Bob Dylan musical Girl from the North Country. She has released four albums of original songs, including her a?oeJewgrassa?? (Jewish country folk) record, a collaboration with Tim Crouch, fiddle and mandolin player extraordinaire, who will be joining her onstage for the engagement alongside his brother, renowned bassist Dennis Crouch.

Jacqueline Novak: Get On Your Knees, written by and starring Jacqueline Novak, has extended its limited run, due to the current run selling out and rave reviews. The show, 'a standup comedy set that inclines towards theater (New York Times),' plays the Cherry Lane Theatre, (38 Commerce Street) through August 18 and then will move to the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Hudson and Bleecker Streets) beginning on August 28 for a run through September 21. Jacqueline Novak: Get on Your Knees is presented by Natasha Lyonne, and executive produced by Mike Birbiglia. Mike Lavoie, Carlee Briglia and Abingdon Theatre Company are producers.

Luna Stage has announced its 2019-2020 Season, featuring two World Premieres as well as the 2019 Lucille Lortel-winner for Best New Play. This year also marks the launch of the newly-renovated Luna2, which will allow the West Orange professional theatre to offer six shows in the coming season.

Arizona Regional Theatre presents PARADE, directed by Phillip Fazio and featuring Seth Tucker as Leo Frank. Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, is proud to present the world premiere musical Fall Springs. Previews begin August 9, with an official Opening Night on August 14, with performances through August 31 on the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage (30 Union Street).

Award-winning director and choreographer Jonathan Cerullo (The Boys from Syracuse, Big Apple Circus), has been named an Artistic Associate at Amas Musical Theatre. Donna Trinkoff announced Cerullo will be joining SDC director and choreographer Christopher Scott and Lynne Taylor-Corbett.
