A new installment of the musical theatre parody staple, Forbidden Broadway, is on the way!

a??a??a??a??a??a??a??the american vicarious proudly presents the World Premiere of (A)loft Modulation by NYC-based playwright Jaymes Jorsling. Inspired by true events at 821 6th Avenue from 1957 - 1965,  (A)loft Modulation will feature a live jazz band led by saxophonist Jonathan Beshay that will improvise nightly. Previews begin Thursday September 26th with Opening Night set for Thursday, October 3rd. This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through Sunday, October 27th.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts announced today that it has acquired the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company Archive, a comprehensive collection spanning the entirety of the company's existence. Beginning today, the paper-based materials in the collection -- including photographs, correspondence, production notes, company records, and more -- are now available for research at the Library's Jerome Robbins Dance Division.

Cleveland Play House opens its 2019-2020 season with the celebratory, heart-felt comedy Into The Breeches! written by George Brant. Directed by CPH Artistic Director Laura Kepley, the uplifting, laugh-out-loud comedy runs from September 14th through October 6th in the Allen Theatre at Playhouse Square.

The creators of Antigona, the widely acclaimed and wildly popular flamenco adaptation of Sophocles's Antigone, return to San Francisco's Z Space with their hit program Entre Tú y Yo (Between You and Me). Darlings, last night we watched Joe's Pub BURN to the ground! Set on FIRE by the incendiary Jackie Hoffman's fire breathing mouth. This perennial of such New York musical comedy classics as Hairspray, On The Town, her star turn in Once Upon A Mattress, and the current Off-Broadway hit-of-the-season A Kleyn Eydish (oh the heck with it) Fiddler On The Roof - In Yiddish no less, held forth with stand-up and lay-them-in-the-isles comedy songs for 70(ish) minutes that have us still laughing and wanting more; even though we are SORE from all the laughter.

The Blonds first brought glitter, glamour and drama to the runway at New York Fashion Week (NYFW): The Shows in February 2017. This September, the avant-garde ready-to-wear designers will return to NYFW: The Shows to debut an off-site theatrical collaboration with Moulin Rouge!
