New York Comedy Festival Presents THE ART OF COMEDY in Little Italy and at Carolines on Broadway, Beg. 11/3

The New York Comedy Festival presents, in association with Vandalog.com, Little Italy, and Montana Cans, announced today the addition of "The Art of Comedy," a series of events and art installations involving New York's most talented street artists that will take place this November. "The Art of Comedy" brings together acclaimed artists Ron English, Hanksy, and Gilf! who will showcase their respective humorous works of art in an effort to bring smiles to the faces of millions of New Yorkers.

SPANK! THE FIFTY SHADES PARODY Comes to Royal George Theatre, Beg. 11/28

SPANK! The Fifty Shades Parody, the hilarious and naughty new musical parody of Fifty Shades of Grey, will dominate willing audiences at the Royal George Theatre Main Stage, 1641 N. Halsted, in a limited three-week engagement starting Wednesday evening, November 28. The production, which premiered in Springfield, MA earlier this month, is co-produced by the Just for Laughs Group and Mills Entertainment.

Susan Mosher and Emily McNamara join the cast of the uproarious off-Broadway musical revue, NEWSical the Musical, beginning October 15th. Susan Mosher, who starred in Hairspray on Broadway, will replace Leslie Kritzer. Nightlife sensation Emily McNamara steps in for a limited run, filling in for Christine Pedi until October 26th.

James Braly's LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION has been announced as one of the closing night shows of the upcoming New York Comedy Festival. The critically acclaimed one-man show, written and performed by This American Life contributor James Braly, returns to New York City from its national tour for the first time since its sold-out Off-Broadway run. The special performance on November 11, 2012 at Stage 72 (formerly the Triad Theatre) will be followed by a talk-back with producer Meredith Vieira.
