FX today announced the premiere of Peabody Presents: Stories of the Year, a one-hour special event showcasing the critical issues honored at the 78th Annual Peabody Awards Ceremony hosted by Ronan Farrow. The brand-new Rave Theater Festival has announced that out of hundreds of applications, 20 shows have been selected for the inaugural festival. The festival will be held this summer from August 9-25, 2019 at Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Educational Center (107 Suffolk Street) on the Lower East Side. For its introductory year, Rave Theater Festival has selected a diverse roster of plays, musicals, family-friendly shows, and cross-disciplinary projects.

Art, activism and the achievements of members of the LGBTQ+ community will be part of Gay Pride Month programs at the Staten Island Children's Museum in June. Visitors will get to experience a variety of fun art sessions, cooking classes, and special workshops exploring gender identity and inclusion for all.

I must applaud Everyman Theatre's Artistic Director Vince Lancisi for having the brilliant idea of ending its season with two plays by Caleen Sinnette Jennings in repertory: QUEENS GIRL IN THE WORLD and QUEENS GIRL IN AFRICA. What a genius!
