Beginning today, March 14, Kara Lindsay will return to the company of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical as Cynthia Weil. She takes over the role from Jessica Keenan Wynn, who played her final performance on March 13.

The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced full casting for its production of Marie, Dancing Still - A New Musical, the gorgeous new work from Tony Award-winning authors Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once On This Island) and five-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman (The Producers, Contact).

Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant launches their 2019 season with Lone Star Love Potion by Michael Parker and directed by Daniel Lee White. Now playing through March 31 this uproariously lusty comedy is a Texas-size farce about a mysterious love potion that will keep you guessing until the final curtain.

In celebration of their 36th year producing award-winning entertainment for thousands of visitors a year, Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant, 102 Connell Highway, Newport, is thrilled to announce the seven shows that make up their 2019 Season of comedic plays.

PERFECT CRIME, the Off-Broadway 'whodunit' that just recently celebrated 31 years and 13,000 performances has announced that Dan Sharkey has joined the cast, as Lional, replacing Patrick Noonan in the role. The smart, funny and fast-paced thriller at the Anne L. Bernstein Theater in The Theater Center in Times Square (1627 Broadway) is the longest running play in NYC history and first opened in 1987 and its leading lady Catherine Russell has performed in all 13,000 performances - earning her a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records!

Amas Musical Theatre in celebration of its 50th season, will present With Love, Marilyn, a one-woman musical tribute to Marilyn Monroe, one of the most iconic romantic ingenues written by and starring Erin Sullivan. 

Rehearsals have begun for The 5th Avenue Theatre's new production of the beloved musical Annie, which plays this holiday season from November 23 - December 30, 2018. The 5th is excited to introduce Visesia Fakatoufifita of Tacoma, WA, and Faith Young of Kent, WA, who make their 5th Avenue Theatre debuts alternating the title role.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) today announced the inauguration of The Eric H. Weinberger Award for Emerging Librettists, a juried cash and production grant to be given annually to support the early work and career of a deserving musical theatre librettist. It commemorates the life and work of playwright/librettist Eric H. Weinberger (1950-2017), who was a Drama Desk Award nominee for Best Book of a Musical (Wanda's World), and the playwright/librettist of Class Mothers '68, which earned Pricilla Lopez a Drama Desk Award nomination.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) and The Amas Song Salon will offer a special event as part of the company's celebratory 50th Anniversary Season. 'The Art of Managing a Career in the Theatre' with actress/singer/producer N'Kenge (Motown), will be held on Monday, September 24 in a spectacular, sky-high penthouse on Central Park West. The evening will begin at 6pm with cocktails and supper, followed by the presentation at 7:30pm.
