KEY WEST FILM FESTIVAL announced today that Kimberly Peirce and Tom Skerritt will receive the prestigious Golden Key Awards at this year's festival, running November 20-24, 2019.

The acclaimed play, The Inheritance, begins previews at Broadway's Ethel Barrymore Theater on Friday, September 27, 2019 and will officially open on Sunday, November 17, 2019.  This afternoon, the production announced its rush ticket policy.

The box office for the highly anticipated Broadway production of Matthew Lopez' epic two-part play, THE INHERITANCE, opens today, Monday, August 19 at 10:00am at the Ethel Barrymore Theater (243 West 47th street).

It has been announced that Andrew Burnap, John Benjamin Hickey, Paul Hilton, Samuel H. Levine, and Kyle Soller will reprise their roles in the Broadway mounting of the acclaimed play, The Inheritance.

The New Group presents Jesse Eisenberg's Happy Talk, with Tedra Millan, Daniel Oreskes, Nico Santos, Marin Ireland and Susan Sarandon, in this world premiere directed by Scott Elliott. The limited engagement will play through June 16 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street). Pittsburgh Public Theater ends an incredible season with the Pittsburgh premiere of Marjorie Prime, the funny and emotional sci-fi hit written by Jordan Harrison (TV's "Orange is the New Black") and directed by Marya Sea Kaminski (The Tempest), who is completing her first year as The Public's Artistic Director. ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE (EST) recently celebrated its 50th Birthday Gala honoring the people and legacy of EST's Marathon of One-Act Plays. The 50th Birthday Gala took place on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 6:30PM at the New York Museum of Contemporary Art (528 West 39th Street, 3rd Fl.).

Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director Tim Sanford, Managing Director Leslie Marcus) today announces that its 2019 Spring Gala will honor the beloved and prolific actress Lois Smith, a two-time Tony Award nominee whose six-decade career in theater, film, and television has included memorable performances in numerous Playwrights Horizons productions. The event will convene Playwrights Horizons' diverse community of writers, artists, and supporters on Monday, May 6 at 583 Park Avenue.

Clubbed Thumb held their gala earlier this week, honoring playwrights Heidi Schreck (What the Constitution Means to Me), Jaclyn Backhaus (Men on Boats), and Sarah DeLappe (The Wolves) and their feminist disruption of the American theatre.  Special guests for the evening included Tatiana Maslany, Lila Neugebauer, Grace Gummer, Pam MacKinnon and Anne Kauffman, among others.

Actress Judith Light and playwright Tony Kushner are set to receive DGF Madge Evans & Sidney Kingsley Awards. Former DGF Fellow, Oliver Houser, also announced as recipient of the DGF Stephen Schwartz Award.

FilmRise has acquired the exclusive U.S. rights to award-winning coming-of-age drama, SPRINTER. The film is to be released nationwide in the Spring of 2019, in conjunction with Theatrical-On-Demand Distributor, Gathr Films. The announcement was made today by Danny Fisher, CEO of FilmRise.
