KISS ME KATE Opens Tonight at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre

A battle of the sexes is about to begin at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre as PinnWorth Productions presents the Broadway classic Kiss Me Kate. Featuring Cole Porter's acclaimed musical score, this comedy knock-out comes to the stage Fridays, today, Sept. 12 and the 19th at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Sept. 13 and 20 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Sept. 14 and 21 at 2 p.m.

After a successful run of SAMUEL BECKETT, ANDRE THE GIANT, AND THE CRICKETS, Hawkeye Plainview Productions reteams with multiple Jeff Award winning Oracle Productions' B*Sides program with SUPER-WELLESIAN at this year's Chicago Fringe Festival at the Early and Often Stage, 4751 N. Milwaukee for only three performances tonight, September 4 @ 10pm, September 6 @ 7pm, and September 7 @ 8:30pm .

SUPER-WELLESIAN to Play Chicago Fringe Festival, 9/4-7

Milwaukee for only three performances September 4 @ 10pm, September 6 @ 7pm, and September 7 @ 8:30pm . Directed by Christopher Marcum, who also stars as Orson Welles, the full original cast also includes David Coupe as Superman, Natalie DiCristofano as Lois Lane, Linsey Falls as original Superman announcer Jackson Beck, and Kevin Crispin as Martian actor Clark Marble. Tickets for SUPER-WELLESIAN are free at the door with a suggested donation and a one time purchase of a $5 Chicago Fringe button. Tickets can purchases in advance for $10.

Minnesota Jewish Theater Company is pleased to announce the cast for the regional premiere of The History of Invulnerability by David Bar Katz and directed by Hayley Finn. The show tells the story of the creation of Superman by Jerry Siegel with illustrator Joe Shuster, and the rise of this superhero to iconic status during the 1930s and 40s. Based on true events, this intriguing new play tells the tumultuous story, intertwining the events of a world in strife, a place where even Superman has his limits.

Craig Berry Set to Lead UK Premiere of IT'S A BIRD... IT'S A PLANE... IT'S SUPERMAN

All Star Productions will present The UK Premiere of IT'S A BIRD... IT'S A PLANE... IT'S SUPERMAN, with muisc by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Lee Adams. The production will be directed by Randy Smartnick, and will feature Craig Berry as Superman and Michelle LaFortune as Lois, according to Whatsonstage.
