The Hangar Theatre Announces FutureNow Festival 2022

Goodman Theatre Announces Schedule Updates

Two adjustments to the season schedule at Goodman Theatre shifts the 2021/2022 “Homecoming” Season line-up in the months ahead. The world-premiere production of Swing State by Rebecca Gilman directed by Robert Falls, previously announced for this spring, has been repositioned as this fall’s Owen Theatre opener.

California Stage Will Present AN ILIAD in March

California Stage is set to present the new play An Iliad. The production, based on the translation of Homer's The Iliad by Robert Fagles, is written by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare. It features Greg Parker as The Poet and is directed by Richard Winters. The show will run from March 4th through April 3rd. Friday and Saturday shows will be at 8pm, while Sunday performance will begin at 2pm.

Michael Urie, Mallory Portnoy & More Join Fault Line Theatre's IRONS IN THE FIRE

 Fault Line Theatre will continue the 2022 Season of Irons in the  Fire, the organization’s reading series of new plays in development, with God Save the Queer by Zackary Grady, directed by Portia Krieger and featuring Michael Urie (George), Mallory Portnoy (Charlotte), Keshav Moodliar (Tariq), Seth Clayton (Louis), and Mary McCann (Kate).

This spring, the nostalgia of 1950s late-night talk-shows takes the stage in the world premiere of Good Night, Oscar—Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Doug Wright’s exploration of the nexus of humor and heartbreak, the ever-dwindling distinction between exploitation and entertainment, and the high cost of baring one’s soul for public consumption.
