Now in its seventh season of supporting emerging female writers The Farm Theater has awarded their 2020/21 College Collaboration Project Commission to playwright Lia Romeo (The Forest, featured on The Kilroys' List; NYIT Award nominee for Connected at 59E59). Ms. Romeo will collaborate with Centre College in Danville, KY (fall 2020) and Wells College in Aurora, NY (spring 2020). This will be Centre College's fourth time participating in The Farm Theater's College Collaboration Project.
The NOW Collective and Michael DiMino will present the World Premiere of The Wild Parrots of Campbell, written by Alex Riad (The Floor is Lava at La MaMa/Best Play at the 2017 Planet Connections Festival) and directed by Padraic Lillis (NYIT Outstanding Director Award for Lindsay Joy's play Rise and Fall of a Teenage Cyberqueen) at the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre (38 Commerce Street, New York, NY 10014), December 4-21.

Sanguine Theatre Company has invited five playwrights to participate in its first annual Sanguine Spring Break: Playwrights' Week. Each playwright is granted space and collaborators for a one-day workshop of a piece of their choosing, with each night culminating in a public presentation at IRT Theater (154 Christopher Street, between Greenwich and Washington, 10014).
Now in its fifth season of supporting emerging female writers The Farm Theater will present their 2018/19 College Collaboration Project with playwrights Kimberly Belflower and Erin Malon. The projects will kick-off in February when each playwright will have an opportunity to converse with groups of students from each of the partner schools via video, to discuss the theme they are writing about and shape the direction of their individual pieces. Each of the plays will have a three-day workshop, cast with professional actors, in NYC in August 2018. The projects will each culminate in a public reading in NYC in June 2019 with a cast made up of students from each school along side professional actors.
