Manhattan-based Actor and Playwright Valerie David, who is a JMU graduate and Virginia native, is bringing her critically acclaimed, comical one-woman show to the Shenandoah Fringe in Staunton, Va. The Pink Hulk: One Woman's Journey to Find the Superhero Within is about Valerie becoming a two-time cancer survivor, and how she beat the odds by finding her inner super powers.
Sanguine Theatre Company Announces Five-day Playwrights' Week At IRT Theater

Sanguine Theatre Company has invited five playwrights to participate in its first annual Sanguine Spring Break: Playwrights' Week. Each playwright is granted space and collaborators for a one-day workshop of a piece of their choosing, with each night culminating in a public presentation at IRT Theater (154 Christopher Street, between Greenwich and Washington, 10014).
The Farm Theater Announces 2018-19 College Collaboration Project

Now in its fifth season of supporting emerging female writers The Farm Theater will present their 2018/19 College Collaboration Project with playwrights Kimberly Belflower and Erin Malon. The projects will kick-off in February when each playwright will have an opportunity to converse with groups of students from each of the partner schools via video, to discuss the theme they are writing about and shape the direction of their individual pieces. Each of the plays will have a three-day workshop, cast with professional actors, in NYC in August 2018. The projects will each culminate in a public reading in NYC in June 2019 with a cast made up of students from each school along side professional actors.

First Draughts is a developmental reading series produced by Amios, a cooperative whose mission is to build community through art. First Draughts is dedicated to expanding four short plays, first produced at SHOTZ! (Amios' monthly short-play series) into full-lengths over the course of a six-month development process.

(Producer, Margaret Santa Maria) will present the World Premiere of Max Baker's The Conspiracists at IRT Theater (154 Christopher Street, Buzzer 3B) April 22-May 7 with performances on Sat 4/22, 4/29 & 5/6 at 7:30pm, Mon 4/24, Wed 4/26, Thu 4/27, Fri 4/28, Mon 5/1, Wed 5/3, Thu 5/4 & Fri 5/5 at 7pm and Sun 4/23, Sat 4/29, Sun 4/30, Sat 5/6 & Sun 5/7 at 3pm. Tickets ($18 in advance; $20 at the door) may be purchased atwww.stablecablelabco.org. The performance will run approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission.

Stable Cable Lab Co. has announced its 2017 season, which will launch tonight with its annual reading series of new plays in process. This free reading series will feature three plays in development including HOME CHURCH PLAY by Jacob Perkins tonight, February 17th, DOLLFACE by Emily Daly on February 20th, and LITTLEGHOST by Liza Birkenmeier on February 27th.
