It looks like we'll be seeing stars next year as more Broadway names are added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. CBS LA has reported that the full list of entertainment industry professionals have been selected to receive their stars and were announced on Monday.

Dale Head releases his latest album, Swing on the Rocks (MindWinder Records) on July 13, 2018, and expands the Great American Songbook with 14 classic rock songs re-imagined in an innovative big band format. Swing on the Rocks explores 'soundscapes' in a nod back to the progressive rock of the 1970s. Headphone icons on the album notes indicate where these features enhance the listener's experience.

'Folk Rock Road Trip,' an original revue by Staten-Island based Spotlight Repertory Theatre, is set to etch a milestone as the company's inaugural production. And, according to the show's creators, 'You are guaranteed to sing along.'

Venice Theatre is once again turning its Pinkerton Theatre into Pinky's Cabaret for the sixth annual Summer Cabaret Festival with 20 different productions featuring some of the best cabaret acts in the state of Florida. Performances are July 13-Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, with some late night performances. Tickets are $20. Venice Theatre is located at 140 W. The Recording Academy will honor its 2018 Special Merit Awards recipients with 'GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends®,' an awards ceremony and live tribute concert on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are Hal Blaine, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Louis Jordan, the Meters, Queen, and Tina Turner. Additional Special Merit Awards honorees to be celebrated include Bill Graham, Seymour Stein, and John Williams, who are this year's Trustees Award honorees, and Tony Agnello and Richard Factor, who are the Technical GRAMMY Award recipients. Also being honored is Melissa Salguero, this year's recipient of the Music Educator Award. Led by GRAMMY®-nominated industry icon Greg Phillinganes as musical director, the tribute concert will feature rare performances by honorees and never-seen renditions by those they've inspired. Currently scheduled to appear are eight-time GRAMMY winner Herb Alpert, who will honor Blaine; past GRAMMY nominee Micky Dolenz, who will be honoring Diamond; GRAMMY winner Sammy Hagar, who will pay tribute to Graham; 13-time GRAMMY winner and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Harris; past GRAMMY nominee Ledisi, who will salute Jordan; and three-time GRAMMY winner Trisha Yearwood, who will pay tribute to Harris. Presenters for the evening include actress Angela Bassett and GRAMMY winner Henry Rollins. Additional performers and presenters will be announced shortly. Tickets for the event will be on sale via Ticketmasterbeginning today. 

Leading interpreter of the Great American Songbook Michael Feinstein, ukulele virtuosi Jake Shimabukuro, Grammy Award winning singer Sheena Easton, and acrobatic troupe Cirque Mechanics, are just a few of the artists set to appear at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts at Pepperdine University during its 2018-2019 season.

ARIA award-winning didgeridoo virtuoso William Barton, acclaimed jazz singer Hetty Kate and Melbourne indie songstress Rebecca Barnard (Rebecca's Empire) are among the eclectic all-star line-up of performers featured in Arts Centre Melbourne's new High Tea Live series. Previously known as Jazz High Tea, High Tea Live expands upon the jazz genre with performances featuring swing, rock, cabaret, opera and Broadway as well as special sessions for families. The beloved Arts Centre Melbourne tradition, features a different act on the first Sunday of every month from March until December.

BAZ-A MUSICAL TOUR DE FORCE is one on the most fun and exciting shows on the Las Vegas Strip. It is performed at The Palazzo Theatre at the Venetian Las Vegas six times a week, Tuesday through Sunday at 8:00 pm. New Line Theatre, "the bad boy of musical theatre," announces its 28th season of adult, alternative musical theatre, including the world premiere of THE ZOMBIES OF PENZANCE, Gilbert & Sullivan's newly discovered, original 'operatic abomination,' in its first ever production, running Sept. 27-Oct. 20, 2018; followed by the 'family values' classic musical LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, running Feb. 28-March 23, 2019; and to close the season, the St. Louis premiere of the new sci-fi rock musical BE MORE CHILL, based on the bestselling novel, running May 30-June 22, 2019. All New Line's mainstage shows will be in the company's home, the Marcelle Theater, in the Grand Center Arts District.

Today at noon ET, Dwight Yoakam's exclusive SiriusXM channel, Dwight Yoakam and The Bakersfield Beat “Where Country Went Mod,” launches on channel 349. The channel, curated by Yoakam, will feature music from his extensive career as well as his musical friends. 

At a time when our nation is wrestling with tough questions about immigration, Houston Grand Opera is bringing back its bilingual production of Cruzar la Cara de la Luna / To Cross the Face of the Moon, a moving story that chronicles the joys and struggles of three generations of a family divided between countries and cultures through the rich melodies of mariachi. HGO presents three special performances on May 17, 19, and 20 in the HGO Resilience Theater at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Composed by Jose 'Pepe' Martinez with libretto by Leonard Foglia and known as the world's first mariachi opera, Cruzar has been performed to audiences around the world, including in New York City in January 2018. HGO's production will feature the Grammy Award-winning Mariachi Los Camperos. Tickets for these productions at the HGO Resilience Theater in the George R. Brown Convention Center are available at HGO.org. Parking is available at the Avenida North Garage located at 1815 Rusk Street, across from Resilience Theater.
