Gloucester Stage Company's 35th Anniversary Season wraps up with August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning Fences from August 21 through September 7 at the Gorton Theatre, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. The 1987 Winner for Pulitzer Prize in Drama, Fences tells the moving story of Troy Maxson, a former star of the Negro baseball leagues who now works as a garbage man in 1957 Pittsburgh. Excluded from the major leagues during his prime, Troy's bitterness takes its toll on his relationships with his family. Gloucester Stage Artistic Director Eric C. Engel directs this powerful and poignant American work with GSC veteran Boston actress Jacqui Parker as Rose Maxson and a cast of GSC newcomers including Daver Morrison as Troy Maxson; Warren Jackson as Lyons; Gregory Marlow as Jim Bono; Jermel Nakia as Gabriel; Jared Brown as Cory and Gloucester Stage Youth Acting Workshops student Bezawit Strong in her professional stage debut as Raynell.

Celebrated singer Linda Eder will bring her diverse repertoire of Broadway, standards, pop, country and jazz to this year's Bucks County Cabaret (#buckscountycabaret), a one-night-only concert produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The intimate evening of song will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014, at the historic Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA.

On Monday, June 30, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn in his regular series called 'Frank & Friends.' This particular show, 'Girls Night Out!' found Frank onstage with Broadway leading ladies Jackie Burns (If/Then), Teal Wicks (Wicked), Adrienne Warren (Bring It On) and jazz vocalist Jane Monheit (Jane Monheit's Jazz Party at Birdland). Broadway and pop star, Linda Eder, returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with her acclaimed show, A Walk Down Memory Lane, for three performances only - Thursday, September 4 (8 p.m.), Friday, September 5 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, September 6 (7 p.m.). A Walk Down Memory Lane will feature a selection of songs from when Eder first started her career ("Don't Cry for Me Argentina", "Climb Every Mountain" "Fernando," and "Through the Eyes of Love") as well as some of her greatest hits ("Someone Like You," "Vienna," and "Man of La Mancha").

Following up the triumphant 'Night After the Tonys With Linda Eder', Chris Isaacson Presents has announced a one-night-only concert event at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre on Saturday, August 16 at 8pm. Broadway Under the Stars will star Tony Award-winner Jennifer Holliday and will also feature (in alphabetical order) Erich Bergen (Jersey Boys, stage and film), Rogelio Douglas, Jr. (In the Heights), Danny Gurwin (Little Women) and Tony Award-nominee Chad Kimball (Memphis) David Galligan will direct, and the music director is Gerald Sternbach.

Heavy snow and icy conditions along the U.S. East Coast previously prevented guest artist Linda Eder and her band from traveling to Houston for a Valentine's Day concert with the Houston Symphony. Administrators rescheduled the Friday, February 14 performance to tonight, May 29, when Linda Eder and her band are able to travel to Houston.
