Government Bureaucracy Reaches Absurdist Levels in THE HOPE HYPOTHESIS

Voyage Theater Company is pleased to present the world premiere of THE HOPE HYPOTHESIS, a wickedly humorous take on the rabbit hole that is America's immigration system. Written and directed by Cat Miller, the play explores the current climate of suspicion and fear a?" and what it means to us as individuals and as a society. Opening on Tuesday, October 29th, THE HOPE HYPOTHESIS runs from October 25th through November 15th at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). Tickets, priced at $37 ($27 for students and seniors), can be purchased at OvationTix.

Ferocious Lotus Names May Liang New Artistic Director

Ferocious Lotus Theatre Company names May Liang as its new Artistic Director, effective September 2019. Previously the company's Literary Manager, Liang succeeds Founding Artistic Director Lily Tung Crystal, who is stepping down to become the Artistic Director of Theater Mu in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Tung Crystal remains part of Ferocious Lotus as co-founder and artistic director emeritus.

Gingold Theatrical Group's CAESAR AND CLEOPATRA Begins Tonight

Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) begins performances tonight, Tuesday September 3rd, at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) for this rare revival of Shaw's beloved almost historical comedy Caesar and Cleopatra. This limited Off-Broadway engagement will continue through October 12th only. Opening Night is set for Tuesday September 24th.

ROSE Comes To The Peterborough Players

a?oeI'm eighty years old. I find that unforgivable and suddenly it's a millennium and I stink of the past century, but what can I do?a?? So asks the title character in the final show of the Peterborough Players 2019 Summer Season, Rose. Written by Martin Sherman, the celebrated American author of Bent, the play features Players' favorite Carolyn Michel as Rose. This one woman, tour-de-force performance will run from September 11th-15th at the Players. Howard Millman returns to the Players to direct the piece.
