Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) presented its annual 2017 Spring Gala 'Act II: Setting the Stage for Roundabout's Future' last night, February 27,  in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria (301 Park Avenue, NYC). The evening honored legendary four-time Tony-winning stage and film actor Frank Langella with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre and Leonard Tow, Founder & Chairman of The Tow Foundation, with the Ovation Award for Excellence in Philanthropy.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents the new play Love, Love Love, directed byMichael Mayer, which opened officially last night, October 19, 2016 at theLaura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. This is a limited engagement Off-Broadway through December 18, 2016.

Just last night, the American Theatre Wing honored legendary Tony Award-winning actress Cicely Tyson at its annual gala at The Plaza Hotel (Fifth Avenue at Central Park South). Tony Award winners Cynthia Erivo and Adriane Lenox, as well as Tony Award nominees Danielle Brooks and Saycon Sengbloh performed for the special night.

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) today announced that Lia Vollack has been named President of Columbia Live Stage, SPE's new live theatrical productions division. 

Following its well-received premiere at The Old Vic in London, GROUNDHOG DAY will open at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street) this spring.

While the producers remain coy regarding an opening date and theater for the production, The New York Post's Michael Riedel reports today that sources say they have a Shubert theater lined up.

Although Scott Rudin withdrew as a producer from the musical adaptation of GROUNDHOG DAY earlier this summer, The New York Times reports that following a successful debut at London's Old Vic Theatre, the show will still be transferring to Broadway as planned.

Tony Award®-winning Playwright David Henry Hwang has been elected the Chair of the American Theatre Wing. Having joined the board of the American Theatre Wing in 2009, Mr. Hwang will succeed current Chair William Ivey Long, who concludes his four-year term this year (the maximum number of consecutive years permitted). Mr. Long will maintain an active role in the Wing as he takes on the responsibilities as Immediate Past Chair.

Scott Rudin has withdrawn as a producer for the upcoming musical stage adaptation of GROUNDHOG DAY. The production is set to premiere at London's Old Vic Theater this July before making the transfer to Broadway next January.

Five-time Emmy Award nominee Jesse Tyler Ferguson ('Modern Family,' The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) makes his highly anticipated return to Broadway as nearly 40 outrageous characters in the smash hit comedy, FULLY COMMITTED by Becky Mode, directed by Tony nominee Jason Moore (Avenue Q, Pitch Perfect, Sisters). FULLY COMMITTED began performances on April 1 and just opened last night, April 25, 2016 on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre. Roundabout Theatre Company presents the first-ever New York revival of Alfred Uhry and Robert Waldman's musical comedy THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM. The production opened just last night, March 13, at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). Off-Broadway's The New Group just honored Ed Harris & Amy Madigan and Ellen Roth at the company's Annual Gala last night, March 7 at Tribeca Rooftop (2 Desbrosses Street between Hudson & Greenwich).

Roundabout Theatre Company presents Harold Pinter's Old Times, directed by Douglas Hodge, starring Clive Owen, Eve Best and Kelly Reilly, and featuring original music by Radiohead's Thom Yorke, as part of Roundabout's 50th anniversary season. OLD TIMES began previews on September 17, 2015, and just opened last night, October 6, 2015. This is a limited engagement through Sunday, November 29, 2015, on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street).
