Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) presented its annual 2017 Spring Gala 'Act II: Setting the Stage for Roundabout's Future' last night, February 27,  in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria (301 Park Avenue, NYC). The evening honored legendary four-time Tony-winning stage and film actor Frank Langella with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre and Leonard Tow, Founder & Chairman of The Tow Foundation, with the Ovation Award for Excellence in Philanthropy.

Just last night, the American Theatre Wing honored legendary Tony Award-winning actress Cicely Tyson at its annual gala at The Plaza Hotel (Fifth Avenue at Central Park South). Tony Award®-winning Playwright David Henry Hwang has been elected the Chair of the American Theatre Wing. Having joined the board of the American Theatre Wing in 2009, Mr. Hwang will succeed current Chair William Ivey Long, who concludes his four-year term this year (the maximum number of consecutive years permitted). Mr. Long will maintain an active role in the Wing as he takes on the responsibilities as Immediate Past Chair.

Scott Rudin has withdrawn as a producer for the upcoming musical stage adaptation of GROUNDHOG DAY. The production is set to premiere at London's Old Vic Theater this July before making the transfer to Broadway next January.
