New York Stage and Film returns July 9-August 7 for five weeks of in-person programming in Poughkeepsie for their 2022 Summer Season.  For 38 years, NYSAF has operated as a vital incubator for artists and their work, a catalyst for stories that continue across the country and around the world.  All tickets are $25 and go on sale June 1.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), today announced the recipient and four finalists for the 2022 Barbara Whitman Award.

The Drama League today announced the 2022 Drama League Awards Nominees and we've got all the nominations for for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, Outstanding Direction of a Play, Outstanding Direction of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays announced that the 11th annual application for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals are now open and will run through April 18, 2022. The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will take place in person in NYC for the first time since 2019.

The world premiere of Shaina Taub's SUFFS has extended again with another two-week extension through May 29. The production is currently on hiatus and will resume performances on April 12.

Tonight's performance of the new musical SUFFS has been canceled at The Public Theater due to numerous Covid-19 cases within the company. 

The world premiere of Suffs, the exciting new musical by Shaina Taub, celebrates its opening night tomorrow, downtown at The Public Theater. Sadly, some of the show's company will not appear in the performance due to a number of positive Covid-19 tests within the company.

SUFFS, the exciting new musical by Shaina Taub, has extended again with a two-week extension through May 15. With book, music, and lyrics by Shaina Taub, music direction and music supervision by Andrea Grody, choreography by Raja Feather Kelly, and direction by Leigh Silverman, SUFFS began performances on March 13 and officially opens on April 6. 

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance presents the premiere of Heidi Rodewald's A Lifesaving Manual on Saturday, May 7 at 6 p.m. PT. A Lifesaving Manual is a multimedia presentation that will be available for free on the CAP UCLA Online channel.

The Public Theater is now presenting the World Premiere of SUFFS, a new musical with book, music, and lyrics by Public Theater Artist-in-Residence Shaina Taub, music direction and music supervision by Andrea Grody, choreography by Obie Award winner Raja Feather Kelly, and direction by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman. SUMMERWORKS will run May 20 – July 2, 2022 at The Wild Project (195 East 3rd Street) and will feature productions of three new plays.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern have announced updates for the company’s season. Initially announced as a special event, Lessons in Survival: 1971 will now receive a full production on the Vineyard stage May 25 - June 30.
