Andrea Wolff's I Can't Trace Time, a passionate and whimsical musical memoir, will play one more show in December, moving to the Laurie Beechman Theatre on 12/10 at 6pm. With a signature mixture of pop and Broadway and an ensemble led by Music Director Jude Obermuller, I Can't Trace Time features a master entertainer who has been widely lauded for her strong comic timing, offbeat and compelling characterizations and superb taste in music. Special Guest Artist, guitarist Sean Harkness will appear. The show is directed by 2018 MAC and Bistro Award winning writer-actor, Dan Ruth. Vocalist Rachel Ulanet (Broadway's Beauty and The Beast, Lovemusik, and King David) makes her return to Feinstein's 54 Below today November 30, 9:30 pm, with her solo show, Keep Me Searching.

It's a hit! Broadway vets, Danette Holden, who was last seen in New York City in the acclaimed Off Broadway production of Cagney, the Musical and Kevin Csolak, currently in Tina Fey's Mean Girls on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre hosted Hunterdon's Stangl Stage Holiday Cabaret, Shine On, to high acclaim this past Sunday. Produced by LBC Talent, NYC the event featured multigenerational homegrown Hunterdon County talent making their mark on the world stage on Broadway, in the music industry, in film and television.

The cold never bothered them anyway! The boldest of the belters braved the storm to come and sing their faces off for our All Open Mic Party. The night was filled with dulcet tones from some of our favorite regulars and some new friends. We even had a few special guests, we'll call the Avenue Q-ties, Jamie Glickman, Lacretta and our very own Imari Hardon. 

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida, Footloose, Dance Captain Dance Attack web series) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. This Thursday night, 11/29 Broadway Sessions will offer up an Off Broadway Extravaganza, featuring cast members from multiple Off Broadway Shows including The Marvelous Wonderettes, The Hidden Ones, Frankenstein, The Book of Merman, The Office, The Musical Parody and more.

There was no shortage of HOT STUFF when the cast of Summer, The Donna Summer Musical visited Broadway Sessions recently. The multi faceted cast, including Storm Lever, Afra Hines, Wonu Ogunfowora, Anissa Felix, Jody Reynard, Ken Robinson, Kristin Yancy, Judith Franklin, Aaron Krohn shared their favorite tunes that went way beyond disco. Audience members had the opportunity to learn choreography from the hit show and to interact with the cast. One audience member even dazzled the cast with a custom gown made entirely of Summer 'fans'! But that's just the sort of thing that happens at Broadway Sessions.Enjoy these highlights, including our magnificently talented Rising Stars Caitlin Gallogly and Sarah Goodman.

On Nov. 19, 2018, the 46th Annual Vivian Robinson AUDELCO Recognition Awards for Excellence in Black Theatre were held at Tribeca Performing Arts Center. On Kentucky Avenue, a new original musical created by Jeree Wade and written by Adam Wade and Ty Stephens, was nominated for 10 AUDELCO Awards, taking home a total of six, the highest number of wins for the evening, including for "Best Musical."

B.J. Ryan's Magnolia Room Presents Raissa Katona Bennett and Kenneth Gartman in "What a Wonderful World," a duo show that will feature classic Great American Songbook, Broadway Show Tunes and some New American Songbook selections from contemporary writers, as duets and solo performances.
