Northlight Theatre has announced its 2022-2023 season, opening with the buddy comedy The Garbologists by Lindsay Joelle, directed by Cody Estle.

Four beautiful, badass women lose their heads in this irreverent, girl-powered comedy set during the French Revolution's Reign of Terror. Playwright Olympe de Gouges, Caribbean rebel Marianne Angelle, assassin Charlotte Corday, and former queen (and fan of ribbons) Marie Antoinette hang out, murder Marat, and try to beat back the extremist insanity in 1793 Paris.

Open Book Theatre Company in Trenton opens their ninth season with Lauren Gunderson’s raucous, all-female, political power-play, running September 9 through October 9.

Santa Cruz Shakespeare (SCS), a nationally recognized professional theater company in Santa Cruz County with deep local roots that go back more than 40 years, has announced the selection of three plays for its Summer 2023 repertory season: Taming of the Shrew,King Lear and Lauren Gunderson's The Book of Will. In celebration of its 10th Anniversary, Ferocious Lotus Theatre Company presents EVOLUTION, a festival of six original short plays exploring what it means to be Asian/Asian-American (initially slated to premiere in 2020). The Board of Trustees of Barrington Stage Company have announced that Alan Paul as the company's new Artistic Director. Paul, who is currently the Associate Artistic Director of the Tony Award-winning Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC, will succeed Julianne Boyd, BSC co-founder and Artistic Director, who is retiring at the end of the 2022 season after leading the company for 27 years.

Saint Sebastian Players have announced the company's 41st season, featuring a French romantic comedy from the '60s, a look at Shakespeare behind the scenes and a comedy set on a Broadway opening night. Performances take place at SSP's home in the lower level of St. Bonaventure, 1625 W. Diversey, Chicago.
