THE GREEN ROOM 42 a?' the new intimate concert venue dubbed Broadway's a?oeoff-night hotspota?? by The New York Times a?' will present a special one-night-only event Grand Hotel: A 30th Anniversary Celebration In Concert to benefit The Actors Fund on Sunday, November 11 at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM. The 1989 Tony Award winning Broadway musical has songs by Robert Wright & George Forrest, book by Luther Davis, and additional music and lyrics by Maury Yeston. The concerts a?' written and directed by Tony nominee Walter Willison, and dedicated to the memory of original Grand Hotel star Liliane Montevecchi a?' will take at The Green Fig, adjacent to The Green Room 42 (570 Tenth Avenue at 42nd Street, on the 4th Floor of Yotel).

Broadway luminaries and local talent will join forces for a Gala concert production of the quintessential American musical, RAGTIME, a sweeping musical portrait of early-twentieth-century America that tells the story of three families in pursuit of the American Dream.

This holiday season, Sheen Center for Thought & Culture presents The Gospel of John, conceived and performed by award-winning Broadway veteran Ken Jennings (Sweeney Todd, Grand Hotel, Side Show). Jennings brings the Gospel to life on stage - in just 90 minutes.

First State Ballet Theatre stages a completely original DRACULA at the baby grand October 18 - 20. Choreography is by Viktor Plotnikov, a longtime collaborator of Artistic Director Pasha Kambalov. Their friendship goes back to 1987, when the two were dancers with Donetsk Ballet Company in Ukraine (A nation in the news presently. You may have hearda??).

On July 30, I had a great time backstage at the Sheen Center, interviewing Grammy and Tony-nominated singer/actress Vanessa Williams, Executive Director of The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture William Spencer Reilly and Drama Desk Award-winner Ken Jennings (Broadway's Sweeney Todd, Side Show, Grand Hotel) about the Center's exciting lineup for their fall season. This was followed by a sneak peek at some of the events, introduced by Williams to an audience of supporters.

Algonquin Theater Productions has announced that veteran theater stars Ken Jennings from the United States and Joaquin Romero from Mexico will be portraying Walter Winchell in the international presentation of the new Al Tapper musical The Paparazzi. The performance will feature casts from both Guadalajara and New York as they tell the tale of The Paparazzi in both English and Spanish. This one night only event will be done at the historic Ellington Room at 400 West 43rd Street, February 28th at 7:30pm.

Algonquin Theater Productions has announced that the new Al Tapper musical 'The Paparazzi' will kick off its historic New York run at the Ellington Room February 28th, 2019 at 7pm. The evening will be a one night presentation, highlighting actors from both Guadalajara and New York, singing songs from the show in both English and Spanish. It will be directed by legendary Mexican director Mauricio Cedeno. Productions of 'The Paparazzi' in both languages are then scheduled for later in 2019.

Tuesday night, luminaries from the Broadway and music industries gathered at the stunning new landmark building 108 Leonard Street in Tribeca to celebrate the release of Sondheim Sublime, the new album from Tony Award-nominated singer & actress Melissa Errico. Co-Hosted by Cristina Cuomo, guests included music icon Peter Yarrow (Peter, Paul & Mary), Errico's husband tennis star and ESPN commentator Patrick McEnroe, acclaimed NYC artist Rachel Feinstein, Apple VP Doug Beck, handbag designer Kathy Kwei, restaurateur & burlesque star Marja Sampson, Tony Award-winners Karen Ziemba & Alice Ripley, Tony Award-nominees Stephen Bogardus, Robert Cuccioli & Will Swenson, Broadway stars Ben Davis and Ken Jennings (one of the original stars of Sweeney Todd on Broadway opposite Angela Lansbury), Met Opera star tenor Richard Troxell, singer Sasha Lazard, Indian film star & producer Ritu Pande, million dollar Met Museum donor Ellen Marcus, and the album's producer Rob Mathes (who is also the main producer for Sting and Elvis Costello).
