A musical set in the 1730s heyday of Venetian opera ought to be a glamorous glimpse into a different, dangerous era. Stiletto, from the composer behind the classic Disney hero’s journey Mulan, has all the ingredients for that to be the case – simmering rivalries, power struggles, romance and murder. Sometimes, though, the real power struggle is between seedy underworld glamour and the story’s tendency to veer into fairytale schmaltz.

The new musical 'Perfectly Ordinary' premieres at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester for a LIMITED RUN 22-24th July. The show, set on an NHS psychiatric ward, aims to spread mental health awareness and is based on real life stories.

Noel Sullivan will join the award-winning show School of Rock - The Musical from 19 August 2019 and will play the lead role of Dewey Finn at the Gillian Lynne Theatre. The hit West End production, based on the iconic film of the same title, is currently booking to January 2020.

With a Book & Lyrics by Matthew Rankcom and a score by Joe Wilson, the production, based on real events, is 'a touching insight into life with a mental illness'. Romance of the Rose Productions announces the first casting for the new West End musical Knights of the Rose. Directed by Racky Plews and created by Jennifer Marsden, Knights of the Rose opens on 29th June for 9 weeks only at The Arts Theatre. Leading the noble Knights is Adam Pearce (King Aethelstan) who is joined by Chris Cowley (Palamon), Oliver Saville (Hugo), Rebecca Bainbridge (Queen Matilda / Bess), Rebekah Lowings (Isabel), Matt Thorpe (Horatio), Ruben Van keer (John), Katie Birtill (Hannah) and Bleu Woodward (Emily). The much awaited arrival of Ghost - the musical is imminent as the hit production prepares to land in Glasgow two weeks from today.

Carolyn Maitland will join Bill Kenwright's production of the timeless story of love, despair and hope, GHOST - THE MUSICAL, in the part of Molly alongside Andy Moss as Sam.

Actor Andy Moss is best known for his roles on TV dramas like Hollyoaks, Doctors and Cutting It, but he's currently taking on a very different challenge: the UK tour of Ghost the Musical, performing alongside Sarah Harding.

Taking its inspiration from the classic movie, this innovative reimagining will feature an expanded book, new music and original staging, and will tour the UK this autumn, opening at the New Wimbledon Theatre tonight 1 September.
