Images include Donald Glover with Simba; Beyonce Knowles-Carter with Nala; John Oliver, Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner with Zazu, Pumbaa and Timon; Chiwetel Ejiofor with Scar; Alfre Woodard with Sarabi; Eric Andre, Florence Kasumba and Keegan-Michael Key with hyenas Azizi, Shenzi and Kamari; and Shahadi Wright Joseph and JD McCrary with Young Nala and Young Simba.

Adam Driver's Arts in the Armed Forces Will Welcome Vets to BURN THIS

Arts in the Armed Forces, founded by actor and Marine Adam Driver, will treat an audience of 50 veterans and active duty military to the May 29 performance of Lanford Wilson's Burn This at Broadway's Hudson Theatre. The event is free of charge for the attendees and will be followed by a private reception.

Comedy Central today released the official trailer for its next great sketch series, Alternatino with Arturo Castro, premiering on Tuesday, June 18 at 10:30pm ET/PT. This summer, creator, writer and star Arturo Castro (Broad City, Narcos) tackles more than 45 characters in sketches over ten episodes that showcase his perspective on relationships, everyday awkward moments and much more. Each episode in addition to the sketches has a scripted narrative thread that features a heightened version of Arturo as he goes about daily life as a Latin millennial.

Netflix Musical JINGLE JANGLE Adds Keegan-Michael Key, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose

According to Deadline, Netflix set initial casting on its first ever original musical JINGLE JANGLE. Keegan-Michael Key, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, and Madalen Mills have joined Forest Whitaker in the cast. The film is set to be written and directed by David E. Talbert. the film will be set for release in 2020. 

The Hylton Performing Arts Center Announces 2019-2020 Season

Hylton Performing Arts Center announced today its 2019-2020 season of mainstage performances, featuring a diverse lineup of artists and ensembles across genres, as part of Hylton Presents, Hylton Family Series, Matinee Idylls, and the American Roots Series. The Hylton Center also announced the first Hylton Center EXTRA! for the season: the husband and wife duo and banjo icons, B la Fleck and Abigail Washburn, in a special concert event featuring their unique blend of alternative bluegrass.
